In 2003, under the aegis of DPS Society, the Om Dayal Group opened the gates of DPS Ruby Park with the vision of raising the benchmark of the standard of education in the city. The inauguration of DPS Durgapur in 2011 was yet another significant step taken towards achieving the same. In 2010, the Om Dayal Group set up ‘OmDayal Group ofInstitutions - Engineering and Architectural College’ -an undergraduate college, offering courses in Engineering and Architecture at Uluberia, Howrah. The transition to Class XI is very crucial for the students as well as their parents. Career decisions come to the forefront and students have to cope with challenges of different kinds. They need academic support, productive planning and guidance by experienced teachers. The Covid-19 pandemic brought the world to a standstill, but that didn’t stop us from educating and empowering young minds. We conducted full-time classes and examinations through our extensive online sessions where teachers were heavily engaged in ensuring there was no break in education for the students. We provided our faculty with the best online teaching resources so that the classes could be conducted smoothly during the pandemic. Class material was trans-lated seamlessly to online platforms with addi-tional administrative support put in place to monitor the flow of the classes. While we adjusted to the changing times successfully, we directed sincere efforts rowards making our students more competitive and agile in the technological space.

Achievements-AISSE & AISSCEIn Class X, AISSE 2020 Examination, 250students (55.31%) have secured 90% and above in aggregate and Shuvraneel Mitra and Srinjani Sen have topped the charts with a stupendous 99% aggregate.

In Class XII, in the AISSCE 2020 Examination, 394 students (44.72%) have secured anaggregate of 90% and above, with Kinjal Ajmera from the Commerce Stream securing an aggregate of 98.80% and Sreemanti Dey (Science) and Ishaan Sengupta (Commerce) securing 98.20%.

Our topper Kinjal Ajmera secured International Rank 1 in SOF International CommerceOlympiad. She will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 100000, a gold medal and a certificate of outstanding performance.

In 2018-19 a total of 17 students qualified in KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana Examination). This is a Fellowship Programme, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) conducted an Online Quiz on Current Affairs and General Knowledge for students of Classes XI and XII in November and December 2019.Ayush Biyani and Kinjal Ajmera of the 2019-20 batch secured All India Ranks 4 and 5 respectively. Ayush Biyani had the distinction of being the State Topper from West Bengal. Both the participants are eligible for cash rewards and Commendation Certificates for their stellar performance.

Due to the crisis posed by Covid-19, all the competitiveexaminations have not yet been conducted. 9 candidates achieved ranks within the top 100 and 24 candidates secured ranks within the top 500 in WBJEE-2020.

124 students have qualified in JEE Main 2020.24 students secured a magnificent score of 99 percentile and above . Sreemanti Dey with an incredible 99.9923468 percentile and AIR 131 rank is the State Topper from our school. The other achievers are Shouvik Ghosh, Aryaman Amitabh, Amitava Roy, Afreen Haider and many others.

It is worthwhile to mention that in 2019-2020, 54 students have qualified in JEE Advanced, one of the most difficult exams of the country.

Also in 2018-19, 147 candidates qualified in NEET which is the All India Entrance Examination for admission to MBBS and BDS.

In 2018-2019 session, Snehinh Sen secured an incrediblepercentile of 99.989902 with 100 percentile in Mathematics.

In AISSCE 2019, Snehinh Sen secured 97.20% and was one of the top performers in all the major competitive examinations. In the JEE Advanced 2019, he secured a commendable All India Rank of 98 and in KVPY, a rank of 33. In the WBJEE, Snehinhsecured the 6th position in the state. He qualified in the Entrance examination of two of the country’s best institutes-ChennaiMathematical Institute and the Indian Statistical Institute, where he secured the first position in the country. In the RegionalMathematical Olympiad 2017-18, Snehinh secured a perfect 102 out of 102.

The graph of school average is consistently increasing every year. While it was 80.70 % in 2017-18, it rose to 84.16% in 2018-19 and in 2019-20 we have achieved a stupendous school average of 86.87%.

Chrysalis, the annual day-long youth fest has premier city schools participating in it. Logique, an inter-school competition promoting Mathematics and Coding. The International Relations Conference hosted by DPS Ruby Park dealt with the theme of Understanding Secessionist

Movements Around the World. Abhivyakti-the inter school pre-primary fest is a celebration of talent. Hence, DPS Ruby Park provides a fleet of 100+ yellow school buses with an efficient GPS tracking system, CCTV Cameras with 3G connectivity, RFID cards for attendance of children on the bus and caring personnel to look after the students throughout the journey. DPS Durgapur too, has a growing fleet of amenities.

Our Bus Bay accommodates a fleet of Euro II/III compliant modern and well-maintained yellow school buses with Speed Governors and efficient GPS tracking system along with CCTV cameras having 3 G connectivity.

The vehicles are equipped with first aid boxes and a lady attendant accompanies the students in the vehicle for their proper care. The parents can avail the smart phone app ‘My School Bus’ for proximity

alert, for pick–up and drop and the Bus RFID Attendance Service gives an alert to the parent (through My School Bus App or regular SMS) when a child swipes his smart ID Card at the RFID reader machine installed in the bus.
