- Tom is 12 and lives on a farm with his family. After spending a confronting day with his Dad, Tom makes a life changing decision

- A confronting graduate film from Swinburne students Jordan Molloy and Tim Russell

- Beautifully shot by award winning cinematographer Adam Arkapaw (Jerrycan)

- 9 minute short film screened at St Kilda Film festival

- A documentary on Melbourne Hip Hop culture by Swinburne Film and Television graduate, Thabiso Maretlwaneng

- Head Up features 15 soundtracks recorded by Melbourne Hip Hop groups and artists, including 360 (Mike Justice,Chapter One), Fela B, Ras Christial, Kritical, and Dust

- Won the Best Soundtrack Award at the New York Independent Film and Video Festival held in March 2009

- Presidential premiere for Swinburne graduate- Filipino filmmaker and Swinburne graduate Carlo Cruz received

a presidential premiere for his first feature film.- The Forgotten War honours the Filipino involvement in the

Korean War and tells the story of former president Fidel Ramos, who attended the film's premiere

- The Forgotten War premiered in Seoul in April this year, just in time for the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Seoul

- Students work under the guidance of professional staff members

- IP is formally acknowledged on your academic transcripts - All students are paid the relevant award rate for their work- Conducted for 24 or 48 weeks, 4 days per week- You then return to complete your final Honours year of study- You can choose to be placed locally, nationally or even internationally- Add work experience and industry contacts to your degree- Students remain enrolled at Swinburne during IP- Entry requirements:

- Students with a Credit Average apply for IP at the end of their 2nd year

- IP is a competitive process

- Lora-Mae Adrao- “I decided to transfer to Swinburne as the curriculum was

much more practical; you are taught how to hold a camera, learn how to create a film and write a script”

- “The course definitely prepared me to learn what I need to work in the industry. I am currently on industry placement working at Ghost Pictures, a film company in East St Kilda”

- “I assist on editing, digitising footage, helping out with shoots, setting up the camera and assisting with press promotions and marketing material. I recently helped a film maker promote a film showing at Cannes, which was exciting”

- Swinburne School of Film and Television takes students by their ENTER score. There are no pre-requisite subjects except for English

- There is no requirement for interview or showreel review- All students interested in applying for the Film and

Television course should also consider applying for the Advanced Diploma of Screen in our TAFE division.

- There is a direct pathway from TAFE to the degree program. Credit average (with no fails in final year) Adv. Dip. Screen students can enter the third year of the degree program.
