All of the participants agree on the value of open access and the importance of free scientific information

73% of the institutions encourage their employees to submit works to OA mediums

73% of the institutions are willing to set up OA repositories

ALL of the institutions are willing to be part of a cooperative OA repository

Conclusions

The value of Open access is generally admitted

The authorities are generally positively inclined to invest in Open Access Repositories

BUT Open Access is not free

Greek institutions can cover the minimum prerequisites

There is need for further investigation on how to cover expenses

Cooperation can save money
