The draft Closure Agreement towards the Disposition
of Arms and Forces of the RPM-P/RPA/ABB - TPG is
currently under due diligence following the
President’s instructions relative to the strategic
components of the draft agreement.
Commenced the transformation process for TPG with
its registration as a legal socio-economic foundation
(Brotherhood for Social Progress or
KapatiranparasaProgresongPanlipunan) under the
SEC in June 2013. As of the third quarter of 2014, a
total of 8 Kapatiran Chapters were established by
the TPG in Panay and Negros Islands. Two of these
chapters (Aklan&Kabankalan) have started
implementing projects under the DENR’s National
Greening Program.
While awaiting the signing of the Closure Agreement,
partner Agencies (i.e. DILG and) through the LGUs,
started the infrastructure development in identified
settlement sites to prepare the areas. Relative to
this, the respective comprehensive development plan
of the sites are being updated/completed with their
technical working groups headed by the concerned
LGUs with TPG participation.
