A dog’s work is never done… A letter from Bah’le
Whew, it’s been a fun and busy time… coming to Hondo ISD and getting to know all of the great students and wise teachers. You made me feel right at home! I’ve had some time to get adjusted and learn my way around and now I’m ready for a summer break to go to training with my buddy Officer Douglas-Moore and get rested up for a Pawsitively Awesome 2017-2018 school year. Thanks for making me feel like part of your Owlstanding family at HISD! I like to keep Hondo ISD as safe as possible and I really like being your partner in fighting crime – kind of like Batman and Robin! Woofing you a fun summer – see you in August! Now I’m off to doggy summer camp! - Bah’le

Meyer Elementary Celebrates 60 Years
of Service to the Hondo Community
We celebrated 60 Years of Service with a tour of the new construction, opened hallways for a walkabout, held a gallery walk with lots of photos from the past, and our final PTO meeting of the school year wrapped up. It’s been a great year – a great 60 years!
A big THANK YOU to outgoing PTO Vice President Mrs.
Jennifer Wiemers and a big WELCOME to Mrs. Jennifer
Halbardier, who will join Mrs. Wilson, Mrs. Braden, and Mrs.
Lowe in leading our 17-18 PTO!
Assistant Principal Ms. Lamb hosted a final farewell for the 2016-2017 Watch Dog Dads. They and their students had pizza, provided by our PTO. We will be seeking a new “pack” next year; and maybe some returning members. Interested dads, uncles, grandpas…contact Ms. Lamb in early August.
