Fenggang Yang delivered a keynote speech on “Religion in the Global East: Challenges and Opportunities for the Social Scientific Study of Religion,” at the international conference on “The Changing Religious Landscape in Contemporary East Asia,” Hong Kong, July 11-13, 2017.

News of Note

New Faces to Sociology -

Trenton (Trent) Mize is an Assistant Professor. His areas of interest are quantitative methods, experimental methods, gender, sexuality, health, social psychology. Trent is teaching Sel Prob Soc Research.

Lindsay Hamm is a Continu-ing Lecturer. Her areas of interest are Race and Ethnic Inequality, Education, Work-place Dynamics, Labor Mar-kets, Mixed Methods Re-search. Lindsay is teaching Social Problems and Crimi-nology.

Thomas (Tom) Maher is a Continuing Lecturer. His are-as of interest include Social Movements and Collective Action, Political Sociology, Deviance and Social Control. Tom is teaching Intro to Soci-ology and Global Social Movements.
