What We Do• O.A.C.E.T.T. is dedicated to excellence in
the engineering and applied science technology profession in a manner that serves and protects public interest
• Award C.E.T. (Certified Engineering Technologist) and C. Tech. (Certified Technician) designations in 15 disciplines of engineering and applied science technology
• Support the accreditation of engineering and applied science programs offered at Ontario colleges to better serve students, faculty and industry
• Advocate on behalf of members and the industry at large

Certification Requirements
Academic• Must graduate from a full-time, post secondary engineering or
applied science program• 2 year program earns C. Tech designation• 3 year program earns C.E.T. designation
Work Experience• 2 years within discipline required• Co-op counts towards requirement
Professional Practice Examination• Multiple choice exam, consisting of three parts; Law, Ethics and
Practice
Technology Report• Applicable to C.E.T. designation only• Two step process; 1) submit a Proposal, 2) upon approval, write
and submit a Report
