Wait for It! Once when he was eating with them, Jesus commanded them, “Do not leave Jerusalem until the Father sends you the gift He promised, as I told you before. Acts 1:4

Then the apostles returned to Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, a distance of half a mile. When they arrived, they went to the upstairs room of the house where they were staying. Acts 1:12-13

They were looking intently up into the sky as He was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.” Acts 1:10-11

Therefore GO and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teach-ing them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

Nations = “ethnos” - a group of people united by their common culture and traditions.

After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with bold-ness. Acts 4:31

When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished…Acts 4:13 God’s Spirit doesn’t make cowards out of us. The Spirit gives us power, love, and self-control. Don’t be ashamed to speak for our Lord… Use the power that comes from God and join with me in suffering for telling the good news. 2 Timothy 1:7-8 (CEV) (Don’t just talk about It) Be about It!

At that time there were devout Jews from every nation living in Jerusalem. Acts 2:5

Then Peter continued preaching for a long time, strongly urging all his listeners, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation!” Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all. Acts 2:40-41
