Keynote Speakers
Dr. Abdul Talib Bon is Professor of Technology Management in Department of Production and Operations Management,
Faculty of Technology Management and Business at the Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia. He has a PhD in Computer Science, which he obtained from the Universite de La Rochelle, France in the year 2008. His doctoral thesis was on topic Process Quality Improvement on Beltline Moulding Manufacturing. He studied Business Administration major in Quality Management at the master’s level in the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia for which he was awarded the MBA in the year 1998. He’s bachelor degree and diploma in Mechanical Engineering which his obtained from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He received his postgraduate certificate in Mechatronics and Robotics from Carlisle, United Kingdom in 1997. He is Director of Teaching Factory and Manager of Centre for Technology (Furniture Innovation Technology) from 1 September 2016 and Head of Program Bachelor of Technology Management (Furniture Design and Manufacturing) with Honours from 2014 until 2017. Before this he was the Deputy Dean (Research and Development) at the Faculty of Technology Management and Business in the Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia from 2008 until December 2011. Dr. Abdul Talib Bon has had over 30 year experience of teaching in higher learning education. A major part of his teaching experience involves teaching mechanical engineering students in polytechnics. However, from the year 1999, he was given the opportunity to be jointed in the Institut Teknologi Tun Hussein Onn (ITTHO), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia as a lecturer in Mechanical Engineering Department. In this institute, he teaches engineering management and quality control at the under-graduate level. Dr. Abdul Talib Bon has multidisciplinary research interests that encompass industrial engineering, quality management and production and operation management. His completed 17 research grant projects as project leader include applications of forecasting in industries. His current research project is looking into developing process quality improvement (PQI) in manufacturing

industries. He has supervised more than 90 undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. He has served as a reviewer for a number of engineering management and computer science conferences and journals as part of his expertise sharing initiatives. He had published more than 200 International Proceedings and International Journals and 8 books. He is also Fellow and President of Industrial Engineering and Operation Management Society (IEOMS, Malaysia), Professional Technologist of Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT), Council member of Management Science and Operation Research Society of Malaysia (MSORSM), member of International Association of Engineers (IAENG), member of Institute of Industrial Engineer (IIE), USA, member of International Institute of Forecasters (IIF), member of Technological Association of Malaysia (TAM) and associate member of Malaysian Institute of Management (AMIM).
Dato Professor Dr Mohd Idrus started his career as a Technical
Assistant in Public Works Department (JKR) Hulu Langat in 1981 after receiving his Diploma in Civil Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He then joined Politeknik Ungku Omar in the same year due to his interest to train his fellow Malaysian in technical and engineering education. He was then transferred to head the Engineering Survey Unit at SMT Johor Bahru in 1985. His career blossomed when he was given the opportunity by Public Services Department (JPA) to further his Bachelor degree studies in Civil Engineering in Seoul, Korea (1986). He specializes in underground structures construction with involvement in the construction of the 4th Underground train construction for the Seoul City Transportation System. He has worked with Hyundai Construction in Korea in 1988. Later, he continued his services with Politeknik Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (1989-1990) and Technical and Vocational Education Division, Ministry of Education) (1990-1993). In 1993, he, once again further his studies at the Masters level in Civil Engineering

specializing in Highways and Transportation and received a Master degree with Distinction in Civil Engineering (Highways & Transportation) from University of East London (UEL). After graduation, he then joined SMV Batu Pahat but, subsequently was transferred to Polytechnic Staff Training Centre (PLSP) as a University Lecturer. When PLSP was upgraded to a university college, he was entrusted to establish and lead the Quality Management and Corporate Planning Division (BPKPK) of University College Technology of Tun Hussein Onn (KUiTTHO) in year 2001 as the first director. In year 2001, he assisted the University to achieve its first MS ISO accreditation (MS ISO 9001:2000) and then, left for his PhD studies until year 2005. With his determination and endurance, he managed to finish his studies by completing a PhD Engineering in Geotechnical-Highways (2007) from University of East London. He has also headed the Research Centre for Soft Soil (2006), became the Deputy Dean of Academics and International) for the Faculty of Civil & Environmental Engineering and subsequently became the Deputy Dean of Research & Development for the same faculty. He was also the Director for Corporate and International Relations Office (PEKA) UTHM in 2008 to 2009 and later transferred to the post of Deputy Dean (Promotion and Marketing) at the Center for Post Graduate Studies. After accomplishing his mission to increase the number of postgraduate students, he was later posted as the Director for International Office. From 2017 to 2019 he was the Head of Research Centre for Soft Soil in UTHM and is responsible in matters relating to geotechnical, highways, materials and technologies pertaining to construction on soft soils. In January 2019 until now, he is a Member of UTHM Board of Directors and a Member of UTHM Holdings Berhad. Currently he still an active member of Smart Driving Research Centre (SDRC) and Research Center for Soft Soils (RECESS) UTHM. Dato Dr Mohd Idrus is also a Certified Quality Lead Auditor (IRCA, UK) and is a member in several Professional bodies such as Malaysian Board of Technology (MBOT), Board of Engineers Malaysia (Since 1988), Institute of Engineers Malaysia (Since 1991), Institute of Civil Engineers UK (Since 1993), Management Sciences and Operation Research Society Malaysia, MSORSM (Since 1999) & Road Engineering Association for Asia Australasia, REAAA (Since 2003). He has also achieved a First Class Certificate in Software Application certified by The City & Guild of London (2005). As an academician, to date, Dato Dr Mohd Idrus has written more than 100 papers in proceedings and journals published at national and international levels with wide research and consultancy experiences. Professor to Universitas Narotama in Surabaya, Indonesia and Saga University, Japan. He has presented keynotes in more than 10 platforms; in Malaysia and abroad. Dato Dr Mohd Idrus is active in pursuing matters regarding to the welfare of academicians in Malaysian Universities through Malaysian Academic Association Congress (MAAC). He is currently the President of MAAC and has been with MAAC since its establishment with other senior fellow academicians from Malaysian Public Universities since 2005. He has persistently presented his ideas and opinions on academic scholarship of lecturers in many platforms with more than 50 articles such as in newspapers, forums and meetings with Ministers & relevant authorities in the hope that the welfares and well-being of academics are looked after for the sake of academic excellence and societal development. His passion is inventing and conducting innovations to new and existing products for practical applications. At present, he has won more than 10 gold awards in various local and international Invention and Innovation Competition & Exhibitions; from Malaysia, Germany, London, Bangkok and Seoul Korea. To date, he has produced two patents granted by MyIPO from his efforts and research works. He has graduated more than 50 postgraduates and more than 100 undergraduates throughout his career as an academic. He has been Chairman, Internal and External examiners for PhD and Masters viva voce sessions. He hopes and wishes that one day one of his innovations will be marketed locally and abroad and many more academicians will be successful in conducting research and commercialization for the community and the world. Hussein Onn Malaysia in 2004 and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2011. In 2001, after graduate from B.Eng, he has worked as a Design Engineer (Bridge and Structure) at Perunding SSE, in Selangor Malaysia. Furthermore, in 2002, he joins Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia as an Instructor Engineer before appointed as a lecturer in 2004. In 2011 he was appointed as a Senior Lecturer and again in 2015 he got the promotion as an Associate Professor in Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Built Environment. As a faculty member, he served as a Head of Panel (Material Engineering) from 2006 – 2008 and 2011 – 2012, Head of Department at Department of Structure and Materials, Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering from 2012-2014 , Deputy Dean (Research and Development) from 2015-2016 and Deputy Dean (Academic and International) 2017-present. Besides, he also served as a Vice President, Concrete Society Malaysia (CSM) from 2016-2018 and President CSM from 2018 – present. As an academician, beside teaching and learning he is also actively involved in publication, research and consultation works. Until now, he also has published 3 books and up to 150 papers or articles in journal and proceeding whereas up to 100 papers or articles are Scopus indexed. His expertises are on Concrete Technology, Construction Materials, Forensic Engineering and Brickwork.
Che Zalina Zulkifli is an Associate Professor in Computing Department, Faculty of Arts, Computing and Creative Industry at Sultan Idris Education University, Malaysia. She had over 20
years Professional teaching experience as an academia and active researcher in the Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Embedded System, Industry Creative & Networking area. Experience as a Test Engineer in the multinational company. Her research projects have been collaborated with multinational company and government agencies which contributes to a network that lead to new ideas and concrete research project. Assoc Prof Dr Maspiyah, MKes. Was born on April 10th, 1964 in Tuban., East Java. She received the Bachelor Degree (Family Welfare Education) at State University of Surabaya on 1989, Post Graduate (Public Health Science) at Airlangga University on 2000,
and Doctor of Healt Science at Airlangga University on 2015. She is a lecturer at Surabaya State University From 2013 and now she serve as a Dean of Faculty of Engineering Surabaya State Ubiversity. As an academician, beside teaching and learning she is also actively involved in
publication, more than 8th grant on a past five year.
He is a practitioner of Project Management especially in Telecommunication industry, and has been in the industry for 20 years. Experience in executing and supporting many
telecommunication projects some countries, including Indonesia, Pakistan, Australia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Myanmar. He has educational background of Electrical Engineering, and Master of Business Administration on top of Project Management Professional certification from PMI –

US Inayat has completed Harvard Business Publishing Corporate Learning series with subject of Accelerated Leadership, in 2018. Last 5 years of his career are linked to Transformation Management, Business and Operation as well as Project Management Offices. He also become a facilitator for some training in regards of Project Management Topic, Change/Claim/Risk Management, and Soft Skill related session to Project Managers. Prior to current assignment of Transformation Manager in Nokia, he was a Head of PMO Nokia Asia South, and also a Head of Cost Management for Nokia Asia Pacific. His last 7 years of assignment are based in Kuala Lumpur.
Dr Mohd Fadzil b Arshad is an Associate Professor in Universiti
Teknologi MARA Malaysia. He is also a Deputy Dean of Student
Affair for UiTM Malaysia. He was working with industry as Project Engineer before
joining UiTM as a lecturer and already servicing with the university for 21 years. His
interest area is on Advance Concrete Materials, Construction Technology, Structural
Analysis and Building Integrity Inspection. Currently He is an active researcher that
supervised 6 numbers of PhD student and 5 Master student that working on the listed
interest area. His record in Scopus Publication is 59 document with 253 citations that
contribute to H-Index of 7. Google scholar reported that Associate Professor Dr Mohd
Fadzil b Arshad is having H-Index of 10 with 456 citation values. He also found as gold
medalist for many international Innovation Competition. He is also invited as speaker
for many workshop and training program at National and International level.
He is a cooperate Member of Concrete Society Malaysia, Member for Institute
Engineer Malaysia and Advisory Board for Malaysia Standard. He is also involved with
construction process and also become a consultant for construction industries.
Currently he is involved technical advisory force for a construction of Bandar Bukit Raja
Mosque that cost of 30, 000,000,000 rupiah.
