MOTOR VEHICLE INCIDENTS

CSA are not permitted to drive/reverse their vans into residential driveways. Several motor vehicle incidents occurred after drivers

failed to comply with this policy.

QLD - CSA spoke to next door neighbour of customer asking if he could park in their address due to sufficient parking in the street. Next door neighbour agreed. As CSA was leaving he started reversing hitting the gate.

QLD- CSA drove into customers address. Entrance to customers address has a wooden structure thoroughfare which is 2.5m high (which is clearly signed). The vehicle is 3m high. CSA tried to drive through wooden structure and connected with it damaging to structure.

VIC-Driver was performing a 3 point turn to after leaving the customers property. As he was reversing the rear right tail light had made contact with the customer’s vehicle. The contact had left a scuff mark on the right hand side of the customer's rear bumper bar.

NSW-Driver was delivering to a unit block. He decided to drive into the complex and reverse park in the visitor’s car park. After he made the delivery, the driver was leaving the parking spot and took the turn too soon, hitting the corner of the gutter of one of the townhouses, damaging the guttering and the side of the pan

NSW- Driver pulled up to delivery address. When he reversed in front of the customer’s house, he tried to squeeze in beside the skip bin, hitting it as he reversed.

CSA failed to leave sufficient distance behind a vehicle travelling in front. Driver could not stop safely resulting in a collision.

NSW- Driver was travelling in peak hour traffic. Traffic was bumper to bumper but then started to move. Traffic was eventually travelling at approx. 60km/h when the car in front slammed on his brakes as they entered into a road work zone. Driver was not keeping a 4 second gap between him and the car in front, resulting in him having to slam on his brakes. Unfortunately he didn’t give himself enough gap and hit into the back of the car in front of him, causing that car to push into another car in front of him.

10/11/14 Driver slips when carrying totes up stairs..

6/11/14 Driver got bogged on loose gravel. Truck slid to one side of the driveway as they tried to drive out of the bog. Tow truck was called>
