Online Marketing Assistant – eCommerce Startup Job Status: Internship preferably with Erasmus Mundus Scholarship; Bonus upon achievement of targets Job Start: flexible; preferred 01/07/2014; Duration min. 10 weeks Job Location: Dresden/Germany Position Overview The Online Marketing Intern will help developing our B2C marketing strategy within a dedicated project. The objective is to improve page content and to increase B2C visibility through social media channels and blog.
Tasks: Create, maintain and develop page content (i.e. – activate/deactivate
products, load manual category and product pages, and to set up and deactivate discount campaigns)
Develop communication strategy for B2C target group Push and develop social media channels and write weekly blogs Review competitor websites to ensure alignment with categorization,
promotions and trends in order to apply best practice Start marketing strategy handbook with guidelines
The position reports directly to the management team within eCommerce. Contributing to online traffic and ultimately sales is essential to success in this position. Project success will be measured against increasing conversion rate of sales as well as increasing number of friends and followers. Results will be presented to the management team when project is finished. That’s us www.rohstoffversand.de is an Ecommerce startup. We develop a new sales channel for commodities that are demanded by residential households, municipalities and SMEs (i.e. solid fuels, soil or road-salt). We strive to innovate decentralized commodity supply on EUR-pallets with intelligent logistics optimization. Our team of currently 5 people is based in Dresden/Germany. Our ideal candidate The ideal candidate will be independent, creative, detail oriented, and
motivated to excel and learn the corporate side of retail ecommerce. In addition, this role requires a strong commercial drive behind all inspirations, ideas and actions that aim to improve conversion rates on our new ecommerce. Hence, we are looking for highly motivated individual who is goal oriented with a passion for the ecommerce industry with the following profile:
Advanced written and verbal German communications (min. B2 level) Excellent numeric/analytical skills and attention to detail Prefer at least 2 years of relevant college course-study in marketing
and/or IT, or equivalent work experience Prefer previous ecommerce/online administrative experience Computer literate with an understanding of and ability to use Microsoft
Excel Understanding of web analytics systems such as Google Analytics (not
essential) Commercial awareness of the industrial wholesale/retail sector for solid
fuels and competitor landscape is an advantage Passion for the internet and online business Good self-organization and willingness to learn Ability to multi-task and prioritise Flexible to working and achieving goals as part of a growing team Self-motivated, proactive, organised and dedicated
