OverviewOur online Lean Healthcare White Belt program has been created by healthcare experts for the health sector. Participants on the program will develop an understanding and appreciation of what Lean is, what it means for the organization and the patients that it serves.

Applying Lean in HealthcareThis course introduces the costs and quality issues associated with modern day healthcare. It identifies the benefits associated with implementing Lean to address key healthcare challenges. Finally, it outlines and explains the main steps involved in implementing Lean in any healthcare setting.

Identifying WastesThis course explores the concepts of value-added and non value-added, or waste, by providing examples of how activities can be viewed through the lens of the customer or patient. Gemba is introduced as a method for the identi-fication of waste. The eight types of waste are defined and described.

Assessment and CertificationThis is a non-exam based program. Participants are assessed based on completion and full participation. Upon completion, participants will receive a Lean Healthcare White Belt certificate from the Leading Edge Group Academy.
