WHAT DO YOU NEED?• If you are going to take an online exam
you need to be prepared, also from a technical point of view.
• You will need the right tools with a good web connection in order to carry out your exam successfully.
SOFTWARE
• All exams will take place on MICROSOFT TEAMS;•We recommend you to download the app via
this link before the day of the exam in order to check if your connection works properly;• You can check your internet connection on
www.speedtest.com

SOFTWARE• Microsoft TEAMS need a minimum system requirements:
Windows 7+, Windows Server (2012 R2+)MacOS 10.10+Linux (deb and rpm format)• We strongly recommend to check these requirements and to make sure that your
device meets them.• The minimum bandwidth required to connect is 130 kbps

ORAL EXAMS
THE DAY OF THE EXAM
The day of the exam you need to have:
• Your UNIPR credentials ([email protected]);• Your national identification document
(ID);• Your Student Card.

• First of all you will need a computer with a functioning webcam and microphone.
• They can be either installed on the computer or plugged in. You can also use headphones with the microphone.
• If you prefer, you can also use a Tablet or a Smartphone but make sure they have a fast internet connection.
• For your written exams, you need to download ADOBE SCAN on your device, as you may need it to scan you exam and send it to the professor.

FURTHER IMPORTANT INDICATIONS
• During the exam the webcam must show the place you are, so please choose an appropriate, quiet, and bright place without background noises in order to make the professor able to see and hear you well.
• The presence of other people in the room is not allowed. It is also strictly forbidden to use books or personal notes. The teacher can also ask you to show your working table or your surroundings to verify if the mentioned conditions are respected.

FURTHER IMPORTANT INDICATIONS
• During the exam you must keep your eyesight on the webcam and you are not allowed to turn the webcam off.
• You are not allowed to wear hats and you always need to keep your hears visible, so the professor can check if you are wearing any micro-earpieces.

BEFORE THE EXAM
• Some days before the exam please download the app MICROSOF TEAMS on your device and make sure that everything works;• You can do a research on Google, for
example “download Microsoft Teams”, to install it on your PC;• To install the app on your mobile
device, do a research on your app marketplace.

BEFORE THE EXAM• After downloading Microsoft
Teams you need to access with your UNIPR e-mail and password;• The day prior to the exam you
will see a blank screen after accessing the app (don’t worry, it is as it’s supposed to be since there is no event going on);• With this first access you will
have tested the correct functioning of the app.

WHERE CAN I FIND THE LINK?• After having enrolled to
the exam on the student platform ESSE3, the teacher will send you an e-mail containing the necessary information to access the online exam;• The e-mail will contain
also the link to access the virtual room on the day of the exam.

ON THE EXAM’S DAYOn the day of the exam, after clicking on the link you received, you will be asked to open it on the app you have already downloaded and tested.

• As soon as you open the link, you will have to switch off the microphone and turn the webcam on;• If the microphone or the webcam are not
working you can verify them in your app settings;• If everything is working, don’t change any
settings;•When you are ready, join the conversation.
AFTER ENTERING THE VILTUAL ROOM• In the virtual room you will
find the panels with the professor and the other students attending the exam;• You will have to wait the
instructions of the professor;• You will see your panel at
the bottom right of the screen, but the professor will see you on full screen only when he/she asks you to activate the microphone to start your oral exam.

TO SUM UPThese are the steps you need to follow in order to prepare yourself properly and carry out your exam:
• Download the app and test it some days before the exam;
• The day of the exam, at the established time, connect to the link previously given to you through the professor’s e-mail and follow the instructions.

INSTRUCTIONS
Some days before the exam, you will receive an e-mail from you professor listing all the instructions you need to follow before, during, and after the test.

JUST BEFORE THE EXAM
• On the day of the exam you need to log in on Microsoft Teams at the established time;• You need to follow your
professor’s indications about the identification process through a national identification document (ID).

RULES TO KEEP IN MIND DURING THE EXAM
• Choose a bright room;• Always keep the webcam and the microphone on – the
professor will monitor your behaviour during the test;• Other people are not allowed in the room;• If the test requires paper and pencil, you need to frame
them;• Your mobile phone must be visible throughout the entire
test, on the desk, with its screen downwards;• Remember that you can keep only tools allowed by the
professor on your desk (for example, calculator, dictionaries etc.).

AFTER THE EXAMFollow the instructions given by the professor
about the submission of the test.
You may need to scan it with Adobe Scan and
send it to your professor.
