PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONThe BPSU-SGC offers a fully online English language

program of study. We offer

intensive ESL Courses available to University students.

The program allows students to learn English entirely

online.

WHAT THE ONLINE PROGRAM OFFERSThe program is fully online through the program application ZOOM – including placement

tests, all coursework, and full access to a qualified English instructor.

The program offers individualized learning plans based on student’s placement test scores.

The program is available to University students in South Korea.

Students can study from home or anywhere they can access the internet.

Students can complete their coursework at a given time of the day.

This program aims to develop the student's four macro skills of communication (speaking,

listening, reading, and writing)

After completing the program, students will receive a Certificate of Completion upon

completion of all necessary courses and be able to speak the language confidently and improve

their communication skills.

ABOUT THE CURRICULUMThe curriculum is designed to focus on students' needs, interests, and goals.

Instructional plans are designed to motivate students and keep them stay engaged in

the course material. In addition, it will give them confidence in common language

usage, enabling them to communicate clearly and comfortably.

Some materials and learning modules will be updated every four weeks to increase

students' skills and ensure success in learning the language.

Material: Cambridge English Idioms In Use

Description: This book presents and practices over 1000 of the most useful and frequent idioms in typical contexts. This reference and

practice book looks at the most colorful and fun area of vocabulary – idioms. It includes the explanation of the meaning of each idiom, an

example of it in use and, where appropriate, any special notes about its usage.

Material: Impact Issues

Description: It helps students develop conversation and discussion skills. Each of the 20 units features exciting and timely topics and

contains activities to help students express their opinions and make short presentations. Impact issues helps students develop conversation

and discussion skills.

Material: Collins Work on your Vocabulary

Description: This book covers the key vocabulary needed by learners of English. Each of the 30 units presents vocabulary relating to a

particular topic using clear language and examples. This is followed by practice exercises to ensure the learner will remember and be able to

use what they have learnt with

confidence in their written and spoken English.

Cultural Awareness Class: This will engage the students in a discussion of the different aspects of culture, in order to build cultural

awareness. They will compare and contrast several aspects of culture, using personal examples.

Virtual Activities:

These virtual activities designated to give opportunity to assimilate new technologies while designing diverse pedagogies in English language

learning.

The time/schedule of classes depends on the

student’s availability.
