Online Admission System

KFUPM has two admission intakes: Fall and Spring semesters. Generally, the Fall semester starts around the end of August, and Spring starts early January. Along with the online application information, mandatory documents need to be uploaded before deadlines. The upload section is a part of the online application. Mandatory documents for application (without which application will not be processed)

Copy of identification (Passport for international applicants / National ID for Saudi nationals / Iqama for residents of Saudi Arabia).

Passport Size Color Photograph (White Background).

Complete official transcripts for BS degree (and MS degree if applying to Ph.D.).

Certificates for BS degree (and MS degree if applying to Ph.D.) if degrees granted.

Statement-of-Purpose (a one-page essay focusing on career and research goals at KFUPM).

CV briefly summarizing educational and work experience.

Recommendation Letters from academic referees through the online recommendation system after submitting the online application.

TOEFL score (min. 68 iBT for MS and 79 iBT for Ph.D.) or IELTS score (min. 6 for MS and 6.5 for Ph.D.).

GMAT score (min. 450).

The Research Institute The Research Institute is the cornerstone of applied research activities at KFUPM, solving critical scientific and technical problems as well as working on turning knowledge into practice. KFUPM Dhahran Techno-Valley (DTV) DTV currently hosts the largest assembly of the R&D centers of international service companies related to oil, gas and the petrochemical industry. The presence of these DTV international R&D centers boosts industry-related research activities and ensures that KFUPM research is relevant to the requirements of industry. The following companies are located in DTV with many others joining in the near future: Baker Hughes, USA, Emerson, USA, Halliburton, USA, Honeywell, USA, Rosen Saudi Arabia LLC, Saudi Arabian Amiantit, Saudi Electric Company, Schlumberger, Schneider Electric (Invensys), Sinopec, Sipchem, Saudi Arabia, Weatherford Intl, and Yokogawa, Japan.

Graduate programs offered at KFUPM

The Deanship of Graduate Studies was established in 1973. Currently, it offers degrees in 13 Doctoral and 36 Master’s programs in Engineering, Sciences, Business Administration, and Environmental Design.

KFUPM has a modern Library with an up-to-date collection of books, periodicals, and learning materials. The Library has online access to more than 800 international electronic databases, e-books, electronic journals, and encyclopedias.The University’s Information and Communications Technology Center (ICTC) is the primary computing facility at KFUPM and it provides computing, networking and ERP support for the KFUPM community. KFUPM campus is fully served with Wi-Fi service and the student housing is fully connected to a fast-speed internet.KFUPM has a dedicated Deanship for Scientific Research, which offers Graduate students the opportunity to participate in funded research projects carried out by the University faculty.KFUPM has a Research Institute that is actively engaged in contract research with industry and government agencies.
