Another really quiet pet of Myrna’s. 45C is the result of Crosbyson x Winchester mating. “Chic” is a polled, goggle-eyed female that comes to you with a small 88lb birth weight and an impressive 1030lb yearling weight. Two of our bred heif-ers are bred to our calving ease herd sire purchased from WLB. These calves come very easy and look very sharp! We are also very excited to have a heifer calf on offer this year that is out of of new herd sire, Big Buff.

Welcome to the 22nd Annual Harvest Hoedown Simmental Sale! We are both pleased and excited to take part again in this long standing sale, with such a great group of Simmental Breeders and sales management team, Transcon Livestock. This year we are enthused to offer five of our sound built bred heifers for your appraisal. We are excited to share 3 of our bred Full Fleck heifers from one of our new walking herd sires, Sibelle Coda. We couldn’t be happier with the results we are receiving with his progeny, from their depth of body and overall thickness to their easy keeping, quiet, gentle dispositions. A solid dark red, fancy heifer that shows a lot of promise as a future mother cow. She is structurally correct with a beautiful udder coming. Our Red Mountain bulls were very popular in Neepawa last spring averaging over $14,000, so here is an opportunity to get in on a half sister of those bulls. Welcome to another edition of the Harvest Hoedown! This year we are pleased to be offering three heifers for sale. Two of them are sired by our late herd sire MFR Pimpin Ain’t Easy and the other heifer is out of one of his daughters. Pimpin has done an excellent job in producing extremely tight and even udders along with excellent fertility. The daughters that are milking at our place are putting replacement and sale calves in the pen each year which is a true testament to his performance. He was selected for calving ease, udder quality and overall maternal traits which I feel these heifers will also display. Vet check safe to AI.Cleopatra is a big solid heifer who has stood out since she was a calf in pasture. Her growth and shape from the beginning has been impressive. Cleopatra’s mother was selected in a package of cows purchased from Bruce and Arleigh Firby of Acomb Valley Farms a few years ago. When we purchased her we loved the look of this cow and thought she was one of the best red cows phenotypically on the farm. Her downfall was that she was calving in March but has since moved up to the start of our calving season and is doing a great job putting an Align heifer in the pen again this year. As I go on about how strong this heifer is I cannot forget to say that she is sired by the late Pimpin 12X bull that has added many things to our program including udder structure and fertility. She’s got the making to be a good one and the calf she is carrying will be no slouch either!!

Badger.Cinderella is our only black white face heifer in the bred pen this year. Commercial producers have been choosing the money strip and what easier way to get it than to add cows to your herd with it. Sired by Pimpin and out of a GGL 230K (Frontier) cow backed by the only daughter ever out of my very first Purebred cow, Woodsong Miss 28F, who was on the farm until she was 14. The history speaks for itself on this one!
