Société Générale: our work forceAccording to Ken Wilber’s Theory AQAL (All quadrants, all
levels) all people should be understood as a complex of these 4 holons (as he calls). Onjourney believes also that to get employees engaged in our volunteer program, we should touch them in all these four levels. We developed some strategies to accomplish it:
"We"Interior-Collective
Cultural
"Its"Exterior-Collective
Social
"It"Exterior-Individual
Behavioral
"I"Interior-Individual
Intentional
.The second project tries to reach the cultural holon. It will be onJourney’s Money – some coins to be given to those participating in vonlunteering activities that may be exchanged in some places with which SG keeps partnerships.
The first one is at the Intentional holon – it’s the onJourney’s Challenge Day, a day in which we’ll invite employees who hadn’t volunteered yet and we’ll show them the importance of volunteering and how it can be very important to them as well.
The behavioral and the social holon will be approached by the onJourney online platform – a website that compilates the needs of NGOs and companies (such as solutions for some problems or practices that need to improve) in one hand and on the other hand also gathers solutions developed by employees, costumers and shareholders – once they know the NGO’s or companies problems, they will be able to help even being very far from the project’s location. The way to put all these three programs together is our Bank of Ideas. It’s also possible to post ideas and best pratices of other NGOs as well – which will make the Bank of Ideas a body of knowledge.
Action – Consciouness – Action...
Diagnosis
In our researches we realized that to correctly diagnose which are the community’s needs (1) is of main importance to any action related to it. There are many ways to act in our society and sometimes companies don’t know exactly what to do in the 3rd sector or in communities to achieve better results. Diagnose (2) is the base of onJourney consulting. It will show what is the best way of action (3), leading to improved results (4).We have elaborated a 50 days plan that contemplates all issues related to this subject – to help not only companies but also the 3rd sector to reach better results and deeper results.

Implementation: Development of an international committee composed of people in charge of the areas of CSR, HR, General Management and Regional Departments to form the Agency. This committee will define general goals to Société Général’s social consulting area. It’s the committee’s task to define the agency strategies such as in which countries onJourney model may be replicable and the changes needed to fit the model into local realities.

Blog – our window to the world
The comments on our blog gave us some ideas that improved our project. Here are some of them:- Acting in education of employees, so that they can also share the
knowledge of sustainability with other people.- Acting in Human Resources – with indicators related to sustainables
subjects, such as environmental learning, engagement in social projects etc.
- Special pre-requisites for credit (something like the “Principles of Equator”)
- Diagnosis of the communities needs before the begginig of activities
