Favor de pasar a la oficina parroquial de Lunes a Jueves de las 3pm a 5pm y el Miércoles de 3 pm a 8 pm para completar la registración y recuerde que los requisitos son: llenar la registración, traer una copia de Acta de bautismo (si no esta bautizado, Acta de Nacimiento) y un donativo de $40 dólares.

If you have children who must continue in catechism or if you have children who must begin preparing for First Communion, or a child who is a High School student and would like to be confirmed WE WILL BEGIN REGISTRATION ON JUNE 4, 2018 . Please visit parish office during registration hours which are Monday through Thursday from 3pm to 5pm and Wednesday from 3pm to 8pm to complete the registration and remember that the requirements are: to fill out a registration form, bring a copy of the baptism certificate (if not baptized, birth certificate) and pay the donation of $40 dollars.

This will be an outdoor barbecue organized by the Pastoral Council.
Parish will provide hamburgers, hot dogs and beverages. We ask all to bring
a salad or dessert.
GRADUATIONS We would like to honor and ask God’s blessing upon all of our high school and college graduates during all the masses of June 9th & 10th. To reserve seats for our graduates we ask that you contact the office with the names of your graduates and which mass they will attend. Graduates please come vested in your graduation cap and gown.

THINGS TO KNOW / COSAS QUE SABER
NEW LITURGICAL STANDARD:
We are all asked to kneel at the end of singing / reciting the Lamb of God until the priest is ready to begin distributing communion. At that time, we will rise up and align ourselves to receive the communion reverently. If you can not kneel due to illness or justifiable reason, kindly remain seated. This standard of kneeling will be official throughout the Archdiocese on June 3, 2018 (Corpus Christi).
LITURGY NEWS At our daily mass time from Tuesday thru Friday at 9am, when a priest is not able to be present those gathered will participate in a Weekday Prayer that combines the Morning
Prayer of Praise with the Readings from the mass of the day. This pattern will be introduced June 5-6-7 when both of our priests will be on a retreat.

Question: What are the "fruits" of holy Communion? Answer: The Eucharist, like all sacraments, offers its own unique grace. We receive a special share in God's life that helps us in our faith journey. We are given all we need to sustain and nurture our rela-
tionship with God. The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life. Everything we are and everything we hope to become is found in this sacrament. It is essential to the life of the church, to each member of the church. Without it, there is no church. The Eucharist is the center of our spir-
itual life and has enormous effects on our growth, our holiness, and our way of life.
The fruits of holy Communion are the benefits one receives from the sacrament. These fruits of holy Communion are discussed in the catechism in the article on the Eucharist. The primary benefit is un-
ion with Christ. We become one with him sacramentally, just as we hope to become one with him for eternity. The Eucharist also separates us from sin, both past and future. It forgives the venial sins of the past and, by the love we receive, protects us from mortal sin in the future. The church com-
munity is also unified and strengthened by the Eucharist. It unites us to the poor and offers the pledge of eternal life.

We meet every Monday from 6:30pm-8:00pm Grades 6th-12th at the Parish Rubis Hall. Young Adults will meet from 8:00pm-9:00pm also. Everyone is welcome to come. This Monday June 4th will be adoration and leadership night.

To donate according to our online giving system, go to the parish website, http://www.stlukewoodburn.org and look for the link, DONATE. We pay some small fees when you make an online gift. The best method to pay, that charges us the least, is to enter your checking information for a bank account transfer. These can be one time or recurring. This can be helpful if you sometimes forget your donation or for when you might be sick or on vacation. The website also offers payment through debit and credit cards, but these charge more of a fee to the parish. The best way is to pay using your checking account.
Please use the following language when making your es-tate plans: “I give, devise, and bequeath _________(Describe gift and purpose) to St. Luke Catholic Church, Woodburn, Oregon (Our official legal name).
