1. Can make from ribbon or paper. Need 4 strips
about 50 com long.
2. Lay them on top of each other and fold in half and crease.
Put 2 down, hold 2.
3. Put right over left at right angle to form L shape.
4. Pick up third strand and place as in image in U shape.
5.Wrap around the right strand and through the left one.
6. Wrap around the right strand and through the left one. One
end goes through left strand and one behind.
7. Pull ends to make a square. Pull ends tight. Turn over. Keep
in a square shape.
8. Take top strand and turn it down and crease.
9. Moving anti-clockwise, take strand on left and crease.
10. Then take bottom strand up and crease.
11. Push last one through first one and crease.

12. This is body of star. 13. To make points, fold under and to
the right, crease.
14. Fold and crease leaving little gap. 15. *Fold point over to
left on top of itself to make sharp triangle.
16. Pinch point so it does not moved and tuck end under and
through the horizontal strand. (Tail of it should be on top)
17. Turn 90 degrees to left Cut off excess of tail (not the body
part) at an angle.
18. Repeat this above, from folding point *, on every second
strand.
19. Turn whole thing over and repeat.
You can use tear ribbon (see the links on the left in purple),
old newspapers, magazines, posters, ribbon, flax, pandanus, what
ever materials you have access to! As long as you can weave an 8
pointed woven star, they will all be warmly recieved. DUE DATE FOR
