Celebrate Pittsburgh’s diversity this month with an international food tasting in the tower’s Upper Lobby. On May 21st, the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council, a national leader in adult education and family literacy, will launch One Big Table, an international food tasting and entertainment showcase benefitting the organization’s students and programs. Tickets to the after-work event are just $50 per person and include samplings from local ethnic restaurants, beer, wine and entertainment. Purchase your tickets in the tower and save $5 Wednesday and Thursday, May 9th and 10th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., when council representatives will be selling tickets on the Concourse. All event proceeds benefit the educational programs of GPLC. The council provides educational programs to 4,600 adults and families each year in the Pittsburgh area as well as training and assistance to dozens of other literacy programs.
