ONE BAHAMAS EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE PAYS COURTESY CALL ON GOVERNOR-GENERAL SIR ARTHUR FOULKES TO LAUNCH 2014 UNITY WALK November 7 th marked the commencement of the One Bahamas Unity Walk scheduled for February 15 th 2014. This non-partisan, non-political unity walk draws thousands of residents and Bahamians living in the Bahamas to walk together as one unified group to symbolize the strength and friendship of The Bahamas. The One Bahamas Foundation was formed in 1992 by Sir Orville Turnquest, Sir Durward Knowles and Algernon Allan with a goal of unifying all persons who live in the Bahamas by walking together in harmony as one family of Bahamians. One of the goals of One Bahamas is to encourage every resident of The Bahamas to contribute to their nation by encouraging unity, equality, loyalty, good citizenship, industry and an abiding respect for good values and the rule of law. The Executive Committee called on the Governor-General Sir Arthur Foulkes to formally start the activities that lead up to the Walk on February 15 th . Back Row l-r: Sptd.
