Who We AreOur office is located in Lincoln Park, NJ and it is designed with your comfort and convenience in mind. Dr. Rana uses the latest technology 3D cat scan, intraoral camera, IPAD, digital impressions, and much more.

Dr. Samir Rana has been practicing dentistry for over fifteen years.

He was born, raised, educated, and currently living his dream in Northern

New Jersey. Having gradutated from Rutgers, The State University of New

Jersey with a double major in Biology and Psychology, he then attended the

University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ-presently Rutgers

University) in which he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree

in 2004.

After graduating from dental school, Dr. Rana completed a postgraduate General

Practice Residency at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Rana took pride

in treating our nations veterans and still continues to do so in private practice.

Following his residency, he went on to complete hundreds of hours of continuing

education, and extensive implant training.. Recently Dr. Rana has been awarded

a fellowship status in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, FICOI.

Global Reach

Dr. Rana has trained and shared his success in implants at Global Conferences in

Orlando, Las Vegas, France and Mexico. He holds membership in: The American

Academy of Implant Dentistry, The International Congress of Oral Implantoligists,

American Academy of General Dentisty, New Jersey Dental Association, North East

Regional Dental Society, Spider Study Club, and the American Dental Associaton.

In the Community

Dr Rana has given back to the community varioius forms. He is a member of Healthcare International and has treated underserved areas in

Kingston Jamaica, Grenadines, St. Vincents and Trinidad. Dr. Rana is annual supporter of Lincoln Park Day and enjoys educating first graders

annualy during February Dental Health Month. Dr Rana has also supported

former Saint Anthony’s High School in Jersey City for over 10 years and help

those underserved brilliant kids attain a college education. Additionally, Dr.

Rana is a supporter of #lunchbag and the Denville Runs on Service 5K.

Dr Rana and his wife Dr. Maggie Rana, enjoy raising their daughter in

elementary school and toddler in preschool. Dr Rana is active in the

community and spends his spare time with his large extended family. He has

a passion for bocce ball and loves to barbecue during the summer.

Sophisticated imagery is taken of your teeth.

A 3D CAT scan is taken of the area to be replaced. This provides the most accurate measurements of the architecture of your bone

With this information, Dr Rana virtually places the implant on his three-dimensional software model of your teeth so he knows exactly what size and length implant will custom fit the missing area.

Your implant is carefully placed.

The initial surgical visit involves placing an implant into the missing site and is carried out under a local anesthetic.

Custom sized bone shapers are used to make room for the implant and then the implant is precisely placed within the hole created.

Once the implant has been placed, fresh new bone cells surround the implant, which takes 2-5 months, a process known as osseointegration. The implant is now ready to withhold the forces for chewing.

Your restoration is completed.

During your second visit, the implant site is exposed and an impression of the area is taken to custom fabricate an abutment (post) and a crown.

The final prosthesis is then adhered to the implant with a strong adhesive to ensure a tight, secure fitting of your tooth.

The All-On-4®, often referred to as Same Day Teeth, is process in which a prosthesis is permanently inserted into the jaw by four implants.

Within a few hours, Dr. Rana can transform missing teeth into a picture-perfect set of immovable pearly whites.

This implant-retained prosthesis is the perfect option for people with fail-ing teeth or loose fitting dentures.

While traditional implant procedures can take several months, the All-On-4 procedure allows our patients at Comprehensive Dental to come in for a visit and leave our office on the same day with a gorgeous set of fixed teeth that will not come out. Our patients who have had the Same Day Teeth procedure done have shown a dramatic boost in confidence and improvement in their daily quality of life.

Upon consultation with Dr. Rana, a 3D CAT Scan will be taken to determine the architecture of your bone available. Once the 3D scans are reviewed, each implant is strategically placed virtually into the software. If adequate bone is available, more than 4 implants will be placed to further stabilize the prosthesis. The patient is under local anesthesia during the entire procedure and feels absolutely no pain at all.

One Office, One Cost All of your treatment and appointments (as few as Six) will be in our office at a set cost as opposed to al la carte procedures. All-On-4 as low as $500/mo.

How many implants will I need? After careful evaluation of the architecture of your bone via our 3D CAT scan, we will determine the minimum amount of implants needed to support your final prosthesis (as few as 4 implants).

What if I have limited bone? Your CAT scan will reveal exactly the depth of the jaw. By placing the two posterior implants with a tilt allows us to use longer implants in minimal bone volume and reduce need for vertical bone graft and augmentation.

Can I eat what I want? Immediately following the procedure you will be on a softer diet to allow of integration of the implants to the bone. Once Integrated you will be able to chew and enjoy your favorite foods AGAIN!

Will I have an input on the aesthetics of my teeth? OF course! At our initial consultation, we encourage you to bring old photos. During your temporary and try in phase you may bring your significant other or whom you wish to give us detailed feedback on the esthetics, so we may incorporate all that valuable information into your final prosthesis!
