8th Grade Grad Requirements
• Algebra and World Language: HS Credit Courses if you pass them with C or better
• All students will take• English, Math, Science, History, PE, Elective, Advisory
• 8th grade Promotion Requirementso No F grades, No U citizenshipo No more than 10 tardies, 10% absences (excused or unexcused); or
more than 2 truancieso No more than 2 suspensions.o No library or netbook fines
• Summer School opportunities are limited; you do not want to be retained in 8th grade (that means repeating 8th grade) for failing your classes!!
A-G• In order to be eligible to attend any school in the
University of California (UC) or the California State University (CSU) systems as a freshman, you must take certain classes in high school. These classes are known as the "A-G Subjects”
• A-G are also foundational courses for many schools nationwide, and community colleges
• You must get a "C" or better in each of these classes to count towards college

o Career-Technical Education or Other Electives (3 years= 6 credits)

Graduating High School
• Meet all SDUSD Graduation Requirements o 44 creditso Minimum 2.0 gpa (C average)o Computer Proficiencyo Pass the California High School Exit Exam
(CAHSEE)• Start taking in 10th grade• Test on 7-10th grade material
