PTI Regional Manager Andre Mayfield (right) can be seen at local Job Fairs across the country promoting job opportunities within PTI. Being a part of these job fairs allows Mayfield the opportunity to meet job applicants and educate them on the job options available.

"PTI is truly the best Sustainable Supplemental Income (SSI) pro-gram going," stated Mayfield (left). "SSI is what many Ameri-cans are looking for in our present

economic climate,” accord-ing to Mayfield.

Attending Job Fairs in over 300 communities served by PTI, Mayfield is able to showcase available positions to those wanting to enhance their income situation, and are willing and qualified to join the PTI team.

Drivers using cell phones are four times as likely to be involved in a crash! What could this mean to you as a PTI driver?

While cell phones have become a “necessity” in our daily lives, they should not be a driving dis-traction causing serious (sometimes fatal) acci-dents. PTI is implementing a safety initiative on tips to avoid distracted driving as well as guide-lines for driving in severe, spring weather.

The branches of Dubuque - Marquette - Savanna IL held their first Town Hall Meeting in March. Branch Manager Grant Ganzer and Gen-eral Manager Patty Preston presented a wealth of information to the drivers in attendance. The need for ALL OTR drivers to be on time for pick ups was stressed at the meeting so the branch “On Time Perfor-mance” goals could be met. Canadian Pacific TrainMaster (not in at-tendance) stated, "PTI is a valuable part of our operations and we ap-preciate the efforts of all the drivers for what they do for us."

Dilworth, MN hosted its first Town Hall Meeting in April with BNSF Terminal Manager Herbert Beam as the guest presenter. Mr. Beam shared vital information about the overall BNSF operation and how the relation-ship with PTI helps it perform at peak capacity.

"From the OTR drivers to those in the yard, we appreciate the professional manner you work with daily. Its makes life easier having a strong partner like PTI," stated Beam.

Drivers also reviewed PTI’s policy and ways to improve the OTR “On Time Performance” while stressing the importance of safety. Branch Manager Ka-ren McCracken thanked her entire team and encour-aged contin-ued im-provement and growth.

As the days get warmer, more motorists are taking to the roads in their con-vertibles and motorcycles. PTI drivers will need to be-come even more watchful while driving and practic-ing safety guidelines dur-ing these warmer months.
