On the occasion of the open day and themanifestation „Dojdi osmaš, dojdi nakremšnitu“ the School of Economics,Trade and Catering, Samobor incooperation with Vocational SecondarySchool Samobor is implementing theproject „3D Samobor custard cake“,which is financed by the Ministryof Tourism of the Republic of Croatia.

The project promotes tradevocations in the tourism sectorin order to encourage youngpeople to enroll into cateringvocations in tourism, as well asthe autohtone gastro product ofSamobor - Samobor`s custardcake.

What is a 3D custard cake, how and why it was developed, how did itconnect the School of Economics, Trade and Catering, Samobor andVocational Secondary Schoola Samobor and what didthe Craftsmen Association Samobor and Samobor`s pastry chefs seein that project are the questions we discussed with Ms MirjanaKroflin, the School of Economics, Trade and Catering`s head teacher,Mr Davor Škiljan, Vocational Secondary School Samobor`s headteacher, Ms Petra Jelenić, Croatia`s famous pastry chef and Mr NikicaMatan, Craftsmen Association secretary.Besides the above mentioned, people who have also contributed tothe project are Ms Marina Kapuđija, a catering vocational subjectteacher; Josip Grdanjski, a culinary teacher ; Ms Marija Tomašković, apastry chef and Mr Mario Majcen, a barman and a cocktail master.
