“Everyone who is

arrogant in heart is an

abomination to the Lord; be assured,

he will not go unpunished”

But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not

look on his appearance or on the height of his

stature, because I have rejected him. For the LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the

outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.”

1 Samuel 16:7

If we had forgotten the name of our

God or spread out our hands to a foreign god, 21 would

not God discover this? For he knows the secrets of

the heart.
