EKKE-Bas single-girder overhead travelling cranes combine maximum possible rigidity with a low deadweight. This keeps the load on the crane runway low, and a cost-effective design can be selected for the building.

Torsionally rigid constructionAs with the crane end carriages, the crane girder is designed as a rigid box-section, which minimises torsion and guarantees excellent running characteristics.

High-performance rope hoistsEKKE-Bas cranes are preferably equipped with EKDR-Bas low-headroom travelling hoists. The advantage of this design is the increased hook path, i.e. extended lifting height and the small approach dimensions.

Proven trailing cables for power supply and control pendant with plug-in connec-tors

ZKKE-Bas double-girder overhead travelling cranes are intrinsically very rigid, which enables them to provide high load capacities over a large span.

Torsionally rigid constructionAs with the single-girder overhead travelling cranes, the crane girders and end carriages on the double-girder overhead travelling cranes are rigid box-girder designs. This means the cranes have excellent travel characteristics coupled with maximum torsional stability, minimum wear on the travel wheels and crane runways.

High-performance rope hoistsZKKE-Bas double-girder overhead travelling cranes are used in conjunction with the EZDR-Bas double-rail crab. The particularly good lifting height is derived from the fact that the load hook can be raised between the two crane girders. This feature, combined with the hoist at right-angles to the crane girder, makes it possible to achieve outstanding hoist approach dimensions.

Guide plate welded to the steel superstructure of the DFW-Bas end carriage. This plate guides the WS-Bas wheel block, simplifies its alignment in the end carriage and is used to adjust the span.
