YOUR SAFARI IN THE SABI SANDS PRIVATE GAME RESERVE IN SOUTH AFRICA

About Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve

The Sabi Sands is South Africa's premier private game viewing destination. It was here that the southern African safari

began and today this famous reserve offers exceptional game viewing and equally exceptional accommodations. Two

perennial rivers, the Sabi and the Sand flow through this Game Park, sustaining the diverse fauna and flora of the area.

The success of leopard viewing within the Sabi Sands is legendary. Elephants, lion, rhino, buffalo, cheetah, giraffe,

zebra and a vast variety of antelope and other species can be closely observed in their natural environment.

Option: Singita Ebony

The new Singita Ebony Lodge, located on the Sand River in the Singita Sabi Sand reserve offers a contemporary take

on the classic safari lodge, combining tented camp and bush lodge style. The lodge comprises 12 suites, each with its

own private plunge pool. Inspired by the romance and adventure of tented camps and explorers’ abodes, the external

walls have been almost completely removed and replaced by canvas and glass to create safari tent-style suites to

maximise views, and to allow guests to be immersed in nature. Outdoor pavilion decks – ideal for dining and relaxing –

are suspended off the river banks as if hanging in the trees.

private plunge pool overlooking the untouched wilderness. Rustic, handmade furnishings made from fossilised tree

advance. (For more information, see our Pricing Guidelines and All-inclusive Safaris)

YOUR PERSONAL SAFARI SPECIALIST

Nicky Mears

Over the years I’ve worked in both travel and sales. Combining the two at Art of Safari has created the ultimate happy

space for me, and I feel so fortunate that my job is also my passion. My only resistance to wild places is that I’m wary

of creepy-crawlies, but luxury lodges generally have lovely mosquito nets, and bug spray.

WHY I THINK YOU'LL LOVE

AFRICA

HOW I HELP CREATE YOUR

DREAM SAFARI

MY TOP SAFARI TRAVEL TIPS

There’s no place like Africa. Once it

gets into your pores, it stays with

you. The vast open spaces – filled

with wild sights, sounds and smells –

remind us how much we’ve strayed

from nature. This paired with the

local culture and joie de vivre makes

being in Africa a deeply connecting

experience, unlike any other. It’s

also humbling to witness wild

animals in close proximity, in their

natural habitat.

I help you transform the rough

sketch of your dream safari into a

nuanced artwork, matching your

fantasies with the very real luxury

experiences Africa has to offer.

Through attentive conversations,

meticulous planning and negotiated

bookings, I’ll create and gift wrap the

perfect luxury safari for you – one

you’ll never forget!

Pack an extra pair of reading

glasses or specs, you’ll want to see

everything clearly at all times! And

find out what socket type your

destination has, and invest in an

adapter that will work for your

electronics (although many lodges

provide charging stations, it’s handy

to have your own). Finally, a

swimming costume is a must – most

lodges have stunning pools where

you can relax and cool off.

IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE

SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY & LODGE DEMAND No accommodation is being held, all bookings are subject to availability at the time of booking

Demand for lodge accommodation in South Africa is high over this period, we strongly suggest that

bookings are made as soon as possible to secure available accommodation.

LODGE OPTIONS Quotes provided are based on lodges that currently show available rooms. Should these not be available at

the time of booking, Art of Safari will look for other options that may be available and provide quotes on a case

by case basis

FAMILIES AND CHILDREN A safari with children is an amazing experience, and we have provided some indication of the options and

pricing for families with children, but there is a huge variation in child rates, options, and restrictions at game

lodges. We therefore suggest that we consult for family bookings on a case by case basis to find the best

solution based on family size, and ages of children.

FULLY INCLUSIVE The quotes below are fully inclusive itineraries from your Cape Town Hotel, to your safari destination and back

to Cape Town International airport.

ADDITIONS & EXTENSIONS Art of Safari is available to book any additions or extensions to your safari or your stay in Cape Town, please

discuss with us at the time of booking your safari should you be interested

1) Payments and cancellation

a) To confirm your booking

In order to confirm your booking with Art of Safari, you need to make a 30% nonrefundable deposit for land

arrangements, and 100% payment for any air travel that has been booked for you by Art of Safari. We may require

greater deposits for certain products, service or activities, or in certain seasons. Your final balance is due 60 days or

more prior to travel. Where bookings are made less than 60 days prior to travel, 100% of the Total Booking Price is

required. If we do not receive the payments as indicated above we will not be able to confirm your booking for you.

b) To make payment

All payments must be made either by SWIFT bank transfer, internet funds transfer or by credit card. We do not accept

cash and traveller's cheques. Failure to make payment on or before the due date will result in your booking being

cancelled and you will forfeit any nonrefundable deposit already paid.

c) Should you cancel

All cancellations must be done in writing and you are required to show proof of written acknowledgement of receipt by

Art of Safari when cancelling.

Should you cancel your booking for any reason whatsoever, Art of Safari will levy cancellation charges. For cancellations

made more than 60 days prior to travel any deposit paid is nonrefundable. For cancellations made less than 60 days

prior to travel the cancellation fee is 100% of the Total Booking Price.

Although it is highly unlikely, should Art of Safari not be able to confirm the services you have requested from our

supplier/s, we will offer you an alternative. Should an alternative not be available we will provide a full refund subject to

the terms and conditions of the supplier/s.

booking we reserve the right to cancel such a booking without liability or penalty

From time to time we are able to to obtain waivers of cancellation fees and/or secure ex-gratia refunds from our

suppliers. We make no guarantee to securing these waivers and refunds, but were they are obtained we will pass these

on to you less an Art of Safari service fee.

d) Should prices increase

All booking quotes and costings supplied by Art of Safari are based on the costs levied to us by our suppliers, changes

to which are outside of the control of Art of Safari. These supplier costs are therefore subject to change until final

payment has been received from you, or in the instance of air travel, until air tickets have been fully issued. Should there

be such a cost increase, you agree that this increase will be for your account and payable to Art of Safari. Such increases

in price may include, but are not limited to; airline fuel levies and airport taxes; land transport fuel levies and taxes;

governments, national bodies and private organisations who may levy additional fees or taxes without prior notice.

e) Should changes need to be made to your booking

In the unlikely event that, for reasons beyond our control, an involuntary change needs to be made to your booking, Art

of Safari undertakes to provide a reasonable alternative. This will be done at no additional cost but subject to the terms

and conditions of the relevant supplier. Should a reasonable alternative not be available or should you reject the

reasonable alternative, Art of Safari will refund you the monies arising from the involuntary changes subject to the terms
