A FEW THINGS TO BE AWARE OF…..

• No more CHUI

•GUI only available up to Version 11.19.7 for On-Prem

• DB Server: only supported OS is Linux or Windows

• Some GUI modules NOT moved to Web…… JM, SW

• Some 3rd party products no longer supported/sunset…….

• New Features & Functionality – since 10.3 are ONLY done in WebUI

• As of V11, ION API’s are RESTful API’s

• Data Conversion Programs now part of Standard Product

• Functionally are very similar, some minor differences:

• No Audit Functionality in CloudSuite

• Most 3rd Party Products will work as is

• Can Maintain most of current integrations

• Can Directly access Progress DB thru ODBC

• Additional modules may need to be licensed

• Increased Hardware Footprint

• Limited GUI, up to V11.19.7, No CHUI

CLOUD

• No Mods, Extensions ONLY

• Monthly Updates – Last Upgrade EVER!

• Some 3rd Party Products may not be qualified

• Integrations can only be through ION/API’s

• Can only access data through Data Lake

• Includes additional modules

• No/Minimal Hardware Required

• No GUI, No CHUI

•A mix of Cloud and On-Prem• ION, Ming.le and IDM are in the Cloud• Sx.e is On-Prem

•Reduces infrastructure requirements

• SaaS pricing for the Cloud components

•Can have mods if you REALLY need them

• Can we go vanilla??

• CSD – no mods, just extensions

•On-Prem/Hybrid – Re-Write of your current CHUI or GUI mod

• Limits my ability to take the monthly enhancements

• Can they be done as an Extension?

•Gather a list of your mods

• Check with your users, still valid? Can they live without it?

•Organize them by type: Reports, Forms, Layout, Business Logic

• Find out from your SIG group about any going into standard

•Go through list of enhancements since your version, in standard

already?

CONSIDERATIONS – 3RD PARTY APPS

• List of 3rd party applications

• Unform, epaCUBE, MITS, Hyperion, Rx/Now Docs, BI, ODBC….

• If it feeds/consumes information to/from Sx.e – what integration are

you using

• Is it qualified, will you need to upgrade?

• Be careful of Co-Mingling UI’s

• Consider your mods… GUI – Uplift AND WebUI Re-write $$$
