1. Log in as User /Administrator.

2. The next screen will display.

Please note: To enable the actual GPS data to be programmed into the new system, the GPS feature has been deactivated. However, once the block data is changed and GPS coordinates are added, it will automatically reactivate.

3. The path to your SAWIS 1.

3.1. Go to the Menu option and click on Sawis1/My Vineyard Blocks under Farms.

3.2. The next screen will display.

3.3 The first option is to print your SAWIS 1 as it is currently. Click on the Print SAWIS 1 Report button for a specific farm.

3.4. The second option is for no changes to the SAWIS 1 vineyard status.

Click on the button “No Change” and the date will appear in the “No change” button to verify when it was done.

3.5. If there are changes to your SAWIS 1, click on the name of the farm that needs to be change.

3.6. The next screen will display.

3.7. Click on the block that needs to be changed. 3.8. The next screen will display.

2.1. Make sure which block name/number it is that you intend to change and click on that line. It will appear on the left side of the SAWIS 1 data on the screen.

2.2. Click on Edit on the left side of the screen to select the type of change.

2.3. Select Change Name option.

2.4. Change block name/number 24 to South24.

2.5. Click on the Save icon.

2.6. The next popup will appear on the screen and click on OK.

2.7. View the changes made on the SAWIS 1: Vineyard Status Report on the right side of the screen.

3.1. Make sure which block name/number it is that you intend to change, click on that line and it will appear on the left side of the SAWIS 1 data on the screen.

3.2. Click Block Name/Number 30 to change cultivar Chardonnay to Sauvignon

blanc. 3.3. Click on Edit on the left side of the screen to select the type of change.

3.4. Select Change Cultivar option.

3.5. Select Sauvignon blanc on the drop-down box.

3.6. Click on the Save icon.

3.7. View the result/changes. The original line

Please note: If the vines, hectares, irrigation, trellising etc was captured incorrectly use the amended function to make changes. Ensure that it is not an uprooting when changing the vines or hectares.

4.1. Click on the block number you need to change on the SAWIS 1: Vineyard

Status Report. 4.2. Click Block Name/Number e g 38 to change the irrigation from micro to

sprinkle, trellising from 4h hedge to 4 ex Perold and 4 027 vines to 4 500 and click the amendment option at the bottom of the input screen.

4.3. Click on Edit on the left side of the screen to select the type of change.

4.4. Select Amended option

4.5. Click the Save icon.

4.6. View the result/changes.

5.1. Make sure which block name/number it is that you intend to change, click on that line and it will appear on the left side of the SAWIS 1 data on the screen.

5.2. Example: Block A1 the original block is 5 500 vines the first split will be 500

vines rename this block to “splita1” and the second split will be 2 500 vines rename this block to “splita2” rename the original to “ORIG A1” which will be 2 500 vines.

5.3. Click on Edit on the left side of the screen to select the type of change.

5.4. Select Block Split.

5.5. Click the Save icon.

5.6. The screen below will display. 5.7. Change block name if necessary and click on next in this case rename block

to “split1 A1”.

5. HOW TO SPLIT A VINEYARD BLOCK

5.8. Click again on the original block A1 which is now 5 000 vines to do the second split of 2 500 vines.

5.9. Rename the original line of block A1 to “Orig a1” split 2 500 vines.

5.10. Click the Save icon.

5.11. The next screen will appear and rename block name of second split to “split2 A1”.

5.12. Original block before splitting.

5.13. After the split is done the blocks will display as on the screen below.

6.1. Make sure which block name/number it is that you intend to change, click on that line and it will appear on the left side of the SAWIS 1 data on the screen.

6.2. Click on Grafted. Example: Graft 680 vines of Colombar to Sauvignon blanc;

the remaining Colombar vines are 4 000.

6.3. Click the save icon.

6.4. The original block and the grafting blocks will display as on the screen below.

7.1. Start on the Farm Page (see bullet 3 on page 2 of this manual)

7.2. Make sure how many new blocks you want to add as indicated on SAWIS 1

form. 7.3. Click on Add Block in drop-down box.

7.4. Indicate that you want to add 2 new blocks and click Continue.

7.5. The next screen will appear to register the 2 new blocks.

7.6. Complete all the requested fields below for the first new block. 7.7. Then click on the second new red button.

7.8. Complete all the requested information for the second new block.

7.9. After completing the block information click on the next button and the wizard will revert back to the Vineyard block details. It is not necessary to click the Save button, as the latest information of the 2 new blocks will automatically show at the bottom.

8.1. Click on the block number you need to uproot on the SAWIS 1: Vineyard Status Report.

8.2. Click on Edit on the left side of the smaller window on the screen to select the type of change.

8.2. Select Uproot option.

8.3. Click the save icon.

8.4. The block uprooted will display as on the screen below.

IMPORTANT: IF ANY OF YOUR CHANGES ARE INCORRECT It is possible to reset the specific block. Click on the block that needs to be changed and then click on the edit button. The following popup will appear. Click on Reset/remove: undo current year changes. The block will reset and appear as before changes.

Click again on the block and do the necessary changes and save your SAWIS 1. If your SAWIS 1 was already submitted and updated at SAWIS, contact Suzette Vos, 021-8075712, [email protected]) to reset the block data to the previous year so that you can do the necessary changes.

9.1. Click the SAWIS 1 Report icon to print the SAWIS 1.

10.1. When finished, remember to log out.
