Sessions will include film, discussion, thought-inspiring activities, and practical suggestions to help us acknowledge our fears, take stock of life, plan for the future, celebrate the journey and embrace the mystery. 5/7/13: Facing Death Screening the film Facing Death . . . with open eyes. Beliefs, feelings and concerns about death. Identifying our worst- and best-case scenarios for dying. 5/14/13: Our Unfinished Business Forgiveness and forgiving: how to release unfulfilled dreams, old wounds, past mistakes. Special Guest Presenter: Eileen Baker, Mediator and Forgiveness Coach 5/21/13: Life Review Art project: creating a life journal of accomplishments, milestones, and memories. 5/28/13: Practical Preparation Simple steps to help insure that your departing wishes are honored at the end (i.e. POLST, Advanced Directives. Living Wills) Special Guest Presenter: Valerie Hopkins, RN, Hospice By The Bay 6/4/13: Footprints & Heartprints: Lessons & Learning of a Lifetime Finding meaningful ways to pass on the most important fruits of your life to those left behind . 6/11/13: Embracing the Mystery Screening the film The Heart of Grieving. Exploring the mystery, the magic and the mundane of death and its aftermath.
