T he 2017 TF South Girls Badminton
program has become well known
throughout the State of Illinois. Many par-
ents and coaches from other schools con-
stantly ask - How do you do it ? and What
club do you train at ?. Answer: Open
Gyms and (free ?)Summer Camps at TF
South High School.
A fter finishing in the Top 10 consis-
tently over the last 8 years, the entire
State of Illinois is aware of the quality pro-
gram and the fabulous young athletes that
TF South has to offer.
C ontinued support from the Athletic

current coaching staff along with making
sure the practice facilities are properly util-
ized will insure TF South with a healthy
successful badminton program for many
years to come.
“Competent coaching, dedication,, winning the State Tourney, home invites, administrative support, and winning records all mixed together form a popular and successful high

Our (1) SENIOR will be greatly missed.
At the conclusion of the 2017 Badminton
season, a final farewell to our only senior is
a very sad moment. She provided the team
with many victories and memorable mo-
ments. Frances set excellent examples for
the younger players to follow. She had
excellent attendance and always con-
ducted herself as a perfect Lady Rebel.
Frances served as our team MOM, team
CAPTAIN, and team ACCOUNTANT.

and
ALL our Friends
A s I end up my 8th year of coach-
ing the Rebels Badminton team, I
found it to be another successful sea-
son and extremely enjoyable. We
have established a strong foundation
for Badminton to grow at TF South.
Large turnouts with success on the
courts as well as in the classroom will
be trademarks of our Badminton pro-
gram for many years to come. Our
biggest goal is to maintain excellence
and continuity that winning programs
all exhibit.
W e are proud of our player’s atti-
tudes, effort, sportsmanship, and
dedication exhibited throughout the
2017 season.
Badminton may be considered a minor sport, but it plays a major role in the
lives of many TFS High School athletes.
T he TF South Badminton team has
earned the respect of the admini-
stration, booster club, staff members,
SSC opponents, parents, and current
and past players.
T hose who have played Badmin-
ton, LOVE the SPORT—those who
haven’t, usually criticize the sport with-
out ever knowing the skill involved
and the dedication required to be suc-
cessful.
T his year’s team was well behaved
throughout the season. They
maintained their grades and carried an
excellent average GPA average.
I anxiously await our summer training
programs and the start of next year’s
competition.
Robert Tengstrand, Head Coach 2017
The 2017 Badminton Season ends with TF South being PROUD of their Badminton Team, PROUD of their Winning Record,
PROUD of their Behavior and PROUD of their Academic Excellence exhibited dur-
ing the 2017 season.
