Clubhouse News

A new telephone system has been installed and huge amounts of cabling, resembling spaghetti has been re-routed. The wi-fi connection has been improved, which should help with connection to the OGC app.

Finally, we have been delighted and very appreciative with the level of voluntary support and kind messages which we have received this year.

Whilst you were away…… Course works have been continuing over the last few months

Investments have continued with the purchase of a new rough mower. The John Deere 9009A Terrain Cut machine helps to suck up and recycle leaves, which will prove a huge asset in the Autumn months. It is also bigger and so able to cover the ground more quickly.

Practice on the driving range is now even easier with balls purchased by either contactless payments or with a membership card. New targets include some rugby posts to help make practice more fun

Last year we purchased a turf iron to improve the putting surface on the greens. This machine does exactly what is says, it irons the turf, removing any slight bumps. View the turf iron in action on You Tube. It moves across the greens sideways, so does look rather strange!

We continue to try and reduce the amount of litter going into landfill by installing some new re-cycling bins around the course

In addition all the normal winter works have continued: staining and weather proofing benches and tee signs, tree pruning, hedge trimming, bunker maintenance, drainage, car park maintenance, terra spiking and the never ending mowing. All ready to welcome back players.
