25 t Seabed CPT

G-tec Offshore’s drill rig GT30 is specially designed to work safely in challenging environmental offshore conditions in high tidal waters (up to 13 m tide). The rig is built on a mezzanine deck, allowing storage of both SBF and SB CPT below the drill floor. A dedicated launching mechanism offers a quick, smooth and safe switch between drilling mode and seabed CPT mode through the large moonpool.

The GT30 rig is fitted with a complete sampling and testing package including:

G-tec Offshore’s heavy-duty seabed CPT has been specially designed to achieve very deep penetrations in appropriate soil conditions. The seabed rig can deliver up to 25 t thrust force. The rods are pushed into the soil at constant speed by a chain-drive continuous motion system. G-tec Offshore ’s seabed CPT rig can retrieve rods faster than any existing system. Optimal penetrations can be achieved by the use of protecting CPT casings installed simultaneously with the CPT rods.

Laboratory:Our mobile laboratories provide fully integrated support to site investigation, allowing for fast turn-around of tests for classification, measurement and strength parameters, and enabling facilitation of en-gineering analysis to be undertaken at a preliminary stage, during the field work.
