Dear friends, It’s a great joy to be able to see how God is working in people’s lives and how He blesses

them when they’ve almost lost their last hope. It’s amazing how a gift of wood can change families’ lives and can bring generations together. Through this project God opens a large door for us and helps us to share His Word and Love with people with material and spiritual needs.

Together with local churches we were able to help over 400 families with firewood and we believe that each of these families was chosen by God so His Glory can shine through each of

them. A warm joy Gheorghe has two children; a little girl of seven years and a boy who is three years old. Their mother disappeared and no one knows where she

is. Gheorghe is taking care of his children by himself. He can`t get a job because he is always at home, looking after his three-year-old boy. They live in a small old house which is in a very bad state. Their life is

very hard and they often don`t have anything to eat. Gheorghe had cut all the trees from his garden, using all of it to make

fires so the children would be warm. The wood they received brought them such a big joy and warmed their home as well as their hearts!

God takes care of those who put their hope in Him!

Stepan is an old man who lives by himself. For a long time his wife was very ill and he used to take care of her, but unfortunately she died two years ago. Stepan lives on a hill

and it’s very difficult for an old man like him to go anywhere. He is surviving

but life is very hard. Not long ago he had a

very complicated operation on his leg which makes it even more

difficult for him to go anywhere. Stepan was really surprised when he found out that he would have wood for the winter and it was a blessing

from God for him because he has many financial needs. God saw his worries and answered his

prayers. Stepan is so pleased that God is taking care of him.

Many people were also helped with transporting and cutting the wood.

Help for a brave mother

Maria has four children; her husband is an alcoholic. For nine years Maria took care of her

children by herself because her husband had abandoned her. Recently he returned home, but his lifestyle remained the same as it used to be. Maria has serious health problems and she is also disabled. Most of the money they have, she spends on medicines and hospital visits. The

entire family is so happy that they have some wood for heating and this is a wonderful joy for them.

Testimony from the village Baraboi

This is a testimony about a young woman with four children. She was living with her husband until the birth of the third and fourth child. Both the girl and the boy are disabled and can’t

walk. Twice a year the mother and these two children are taken to hospital to receive treatment. This mother is truly in need of

help and so she is really thankful for the offered wood. The church in the village of Baraboi would like to thank OM and those who gave financial support, so the church could reach out

to the people in their village. May God bless all of us.

FIREWOOD PROJECT - MOLDOVA February 2012

A warmer winter

When he was a young man, Vasile had a motorcycle accident and as a result he lost one of his legs. His wife left him because of that, while his children remained with him and he had to take care

of them. His daughter got married and her husband now also lives with the family in the same house. They all have financial

problems and they were so happy when they received the wood. Vasile was very pleased that they won’t have to bear a cold house this winter and he doesn`t have to worry about wood this year.

Letters from thankful people

“I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for your help. The help you are giving is really benefitting people during this cold winter. I personally need something to make a fire, my pension is 600 lei which isn’t enough to

pay for everything I need.” Elena

“I am disabled and an orphan. I want to say thank you for the help you have given me. The winter is so cold and I needed wood for my fire. My parents are dead and I only get 300 lei each month for my disability. Without your help I would not have a fire.” Vladimir

“I am living with my disabled son Aurel. We want to say thank you for the help we have

received. I had an operation and cannot work. My pension is 530 lei and my son’s is 300 lei. This is not enough to buy wood for our fire to survive through the entire winter.” Maria

A monthly income of € 20,-.

Andrei is 56 years old and is nearly blind. He looks after his daughter who is mentally disabled. Live is not at all easy for them and with a monthly income of 300 lei (€ 20,-), often there are not enough finances to buy food, medicines, pay the bills etc.

Andrei is thankful to God that He takes care of him and his daughter and that they received this winter wood to heat their house.
