TABLE OF CONTENTS

The T Power Control 1/T10 Ring Flash 1 combi-nation is specially designed for short workingdistances where conventional flash units cannotbe used, With the OM-2 it extends the advantagesof TTL "OTF" Auto flash to the fields ofshadowless close-up, medical, scientific and out-door "action" macrophotography. Manual flashwith the oM-l , oM-10 and cameras other thanOM can also be achieved more easily than everbefore.

Main Features of Medical Zuiko

1. Accurate and easy autoflash exposureThe OM-2's e lectronic brain centra l ly contro ls a l lexposure data to do away with complicated cal-culat ions. l t automat ical ly shuts of f the r ing f lashemission when the correct amount of l ight hasreached the film surface.2, Cont inuously var iable magni f icat ionBy s l id ing the Telescopic Auto Tube 65-116,changes in magni f icat ion can be moni tored con-t inuously in the v iewf inder.3. Convenient working distance even for h ighimage magni f icat ionsThe MC Auto Macro 135 mm lens features longworking distances (37cm or 14.6 in.- - | , enabl-ing the photographer to take enlarged images of alesion wi thout interrupt ing surgia l procedures.

s

Page 25: Olympus OM T10 Ring Flash1, owner's manual

Cautions @The MC Auto 1:1 80mm Macro is designed toprovide opt imum resolut ion at l i fe s ize.4. Al though the Macro 135 mm has a maximumspeed of F4.5, i t a l lows fu l l -open aperture v iew-ing as br ight as F4 to faci l i tate focusing andcomposi t ion.5. Ring Fi i ter POLWith the aid of the cross polar iz ing f i l ter POL,the ring flash reproduces glossy surface oblects, reducing undesirable annular l ight ref lect ion.6. Hand-held funct ional i tyThe compact and convenient design of the equip-ment ensures mobi l i ty not only for medical , butalso for outdoor action photography.7. Choice of power sourcesThe ring flash operates off batteries (inside the TPower Control 1 which is mounted tothe camera,or a 6 V Power Pack attached to the waist) or theAC Adapter 3.8. Wide range of applicationsTogether wi th other modular OM System com-ponents, r ing f lash is useful in a wide var iety ofphotographic situations ( Recordata Back, Winder, etc. ) .

OThe r ing f lash equipment does not feature explo-- s ion-f ree construct ion. NEVER use i t in thepresence of flammable gas.

@To prevent overheating, do not cover the ACAdapter 3 wi th a c loth, etc.

6)Depending on the f i lm used, the Ring Fi l ter POL- can cause a s l ight change in colorat ion (gold

tends to turn out b lu ish; and red, br ight redl .

@The POL cuts down light by 3 - 6 stops, so openup the lens aperture accordingly to compensatefor the l ight loss.
