2 Vascular & Endovascular Controversies Update
Years of Looking Forward
In the 40th year of CX Looking Forward, it will be a huge privilege to welcome you to Olympia Grand, the classic Victorian venue and home of the Charing Cross International Symposium 2018. This is the Vascular and Endovascular annual meeting of surgeons, physicians, radiologists and scientists, who drive vascular management forward in Educa-tion, Innovation and Evidence.
For 40 years, CX has continually looked forward, raising vascular and endovascular Controversies so that a world-class faculty Challenges the available evidence in order to reach a Consensus after discussion with an expert audience. This forms a three-year cycle.
In 2018, the programme will focus on Controversies in all aspects of vascular disease management and we will be introducing new and exciting activities, with an increase in hands-on workshops and live and edited cases. Also in 2018, the CX Venous Workshop and ilegx will be celebrating their 10th anniversaries.
At CX 2018, the programmes for the Aortic, Peripheral Arterial, Venous, Acute Stroke and Vascular Access tracks have been designed in sequence rather than in parallel so that CX attendees can maximise their participation.
We look forward to welcoming you to CX 2018!
NEW for CX 2018 CX Global Stars and Rising Stars have been identified through partnerships and were selected by the CX Programme Organising Board to become full CX Faculty.
Together with CX Abstracts, more than 500 topics have been submitted for the CX Board and CX Abstract and Poster Board and are being selected for presentation in the Main Plenary Sessions, Additional Sessions, and electronic poster sessions.
From the more than 400 abstracts received, the CX Abstract and Poster Board will assemble a CX Associated Faculty in all subject areas for oral and electronic presentations.

What has made CX so special over 40 Years of Looking Forward?
“ CX has always been a good meeting to challenge my thinking. It has allowed me to participate in interesting conversations and to gain—particularly with the
workshops—tips and tricks for my own practice.” Stephen Black, London, UK
“ Each year I attend CX I come away with consensus messages that change or improve my practice and that I can share with my colleagues.
I look forward to next year being the same.” Andrew Holden, Auckland, New Zealand
“ At CX we discuss clinical science getting information about what is up to date with regards to new developments and technologies in the light of
what is considered as being the benchmark.” Thomas Zeller, Bad Krozingen, Germany
“ CX is optimal education! The symposium provides us with really strong evidence for what we are doing every day, leading to appropriate
decision-making for patients.” Dittmar Böckler, Heidelberg, Germany
