In Olsztyn there are numerous buildings and monuments, which cannot be missed.
The gothic castle, where Copernicus used to live.
He worked there on his theory of the solar system and created a solar clock.
Copernicus also defended the castle from the Teutonic Knights.

A lot of events take place in the Old Town, especially in summer – musical and theater festivals, folk events, various fairs.
In winter we have a spectacular fair called ‘Jarmark Warmiński’ (Warmian Fair).
A lot of illuminations and ice sculptures change the Old Town into a magical place.
