Our Story2002Susan C. Kenward has an idea for healthy natu-ral body care products with olive oil & grape seed oil (OLIVINA) from her home in Napa Val-ley California where, by the way, they just happened to have a lot of vineyards & olives orchards. A bohemian at heart, she transitioned from the culinary world with several cookbooks & a James Beard award. She starts the company with a canning jar filled with body butter and a fabulous olive fragrance.

2007Five years and tons of tradeshows later she worked with GaryMcNatton, product designer to the stars: GAP, Restoration Hard-ware, and Method. We get some press and have a barn full of hand creme, lotions and soaps. Things become a bit unmanageable; the only time to exercise (or eat and sleep) is in the car or on an airplane.

2012After lots of hard work OLIVINA puts out a wish to the universe for a Business Angel (investor)“Does any-one still have money?” Enter a really nice com-pany, DesignWorks, with over 25 years experience & a stellar record of growing small compa-nies with outstanding products (thats’us) into world-class enterprises (Paddywax, CR Gibson). Susan retires from spread sheets, & warehousing to create more beautiful products. We open new offices in Nashville TN and Napa Valley.
