Tariş has a long history of success as the provider of the best olive oil available in the Aegean Region. Founded in 1915 by local farmers in the region, Tariş Company is owned by 28.000 producer-partners that have worked on this land for generations, organized under 32 cooperatives in 6 Turkish cities. Tariş Olive Oil is the only Turkish olive oil that is accredited and certified by the International Olive Oil Council (IOOC).
The olives are carefully harvested by traditional methods, pressed and stored under sanitary conditions in some of the most technologically advanced facilities in the world. Possessing one of the 35 laboratories accredited by the IOOC and being one of the 15 members of the Worldwide Olive Oil Quality Control Programme, Tariş produces the top quality olive oil from the world’s best olives, the Aegean olives.
Exporting cerlified olive oil to many countries and possessing ISO9000, ISO22000, KOSHER and ECOCERT certifications, Tariş opened by TA-ZE concept stores in major cities of the world, where olives, olive oil and olive oil products are sold. The mission is to promote these unique products in the major central locations of the world.
The Aegean Region, known as the Riviera of olive trees, nestles on the coast of the Aegean Sea, an arm of the Mediterranean. Herodutus, the lamous historian, once described the Aegean coast as having ‘‘the most beautiful sky and the best climate in the world’’. This area is known to produce the worldwide finest quality olives. It has olive trees over thou-sand years old. A traveler visiting the Aegean coast today may rest in the shadow of the same olive tree once Herodotus sat beneath and might hear wise tree whisper in this ear, ‘‘I belong to all and I belong to no one; I was here before you came and will be here when you leave.‘‘ The Aegean region holds a distinctive place in the world history with Ephesus, one of the greatest cities of the Roman Empire, the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the World; Aphrodisias and Troy, the remains of ancient civilizations attesting to over 5000 years of history.
