FROM OUR PASTOR
TODAY
Today, the Society of St Vincent de Paul celebrates it's founding in 1833 by Frederic Ozanam in Paris. The Society has grown to 5,000 conferences worldwide car-rying on the mission of growing in spirituality, friend-ship and service to those in need under the motto that "No Act of Charity is Foreign to the Society.”
Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of his disciples that are not written in this book. Alleluia! Christ is Risen! Our faith is that the resurrection of Je-sus from the dead is not merely a his-torical detail from the past, but a liv-ing reality today. Jesus’ words continue to give life, and they call us to share that life with others. We pray for our brothers and sisters who died in Sri Lanka from the Easter bomb-ings, and we pray that all those who believe in the use violence may come to know the true power of the Divine Mercy and learn to trust in the reality of God’s love
in the world.
Once again, I want to thank everyone who helped with our liturgies and other activities dur-ing Lent and Holy Week. Truly Jesus does continue to work many other signs in our midst through the daily graces in our parish community. Con-
gratulations and thanks to the members of our local conference of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and our Divine Mercy Cenacle, which are truly a blessing to our community.
Alleluia! Christ is risen indeed! God bless and keep you always!
Fr. Bobby

For the safety and well-being of our children at Old Mission Santa Inés, please ensure that children are always under the supervision of an adult, not an adolescent or minor. Children should always be accompanied by an adult to the restroom during Mass or at any meeting.
Classes resume April 30 and May 1.
First Confession will be held Mon-day, April 29, in English and Tues-day, April 30, in Spanish at 6:30 PM in the church. If you have any ques-tions please call R.E. office at 805/688-4138.
Did you know? Ongoing child sexual abuse prevention training. Since 2002, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles has trained about 330,000 adults to proactively protect children and young people from child sexual abuse and reporting misconduct. In addition, over 165,000 children and young people receive safe environment training annually. In 2018, the Office of Safeguard the Children launched its new “Empowering God's Children & Young Peo-ple” Program, which empowers children and young people by giving them the knowledge and tools to keep themselves safe and teaches them to tell a par-ent, guardian or safe adult if anyone makes them feel uncomfortable, scared or confused. INTENTIONS FOR APRIL
Doctors and their Collaborators in War Zones. For doctors and their humanitarian collaborators in war zones, who risk their lives to save the lives of others.
NOTICES
Halleluia! Halleluia! Easter Sunday was glorious! Thank you Marilyn Coyle, Marilyn's sister Phyllis and Judy Duffy for hosting the reception after the Easter Sunrise Mass. Thank you Carol Money for decorating the hall for the Vigil and Sunrise recep-tion. Thank you Christopher Castagna of the Men’s Club for raising the Easter banner on the front field. Blessings to all!
Ministry of Hospitality and Caring
We rejoice with Amelia Bean, Delaney Buhring and Alex Perez, our newly baptized, and Timothy Larkins who made a Profession of Faith and received the Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil. We also congrat-ulate Steven Campa and Dania Diaz who completed their Initiation, re-ceiving the sacraments of Confirma-tion and Eucharist. Christ’s infinite goodness is revealed in the lives of these newest members of our Catho-lic faith.
Ministry Opportunity: The lay ministers who assist with the distri-bution of Holy Communion at Mass and take the Eucharist to the home-bound are eager to welcome some new faces. If you would like to serve the Lord in this personal and practi-cal way, please call Paula Engel in the parish office (805/688-4815, ext. 230). All Eucharistic Ministers find their service deeply rewarding.
Mr. & Mrs. Bunny would like to say “thank you” to everyone that donated candy towards this year’s Easter Egg Hunt. The Easter Hunt was very spe-cial, and fun was had by all! Thank you!
Next Saturday, May 4, there will not be English confessions at 4:00 PM and there might be a bit of a parking lot congestion for the 5:00 PM Mass be-cause of the Rancheros Visitadores ride into the Mission.
Franciscan Saints
Join us May 1 and May 8, at 7:00 PM, in the small conference room, for a new series on Franciscan Saints presented by Fr. Bobby Barbato, OFM, Cap. Don't miss this great opportunity to continue learning about Franciscan spirituality. Everyone is welcome.
The Sacrament of Confirmation will take place this coming Sunday, May 5, at the 5:00 PM Sunday Mass with Cardinal Roger Mahony as the confirming bishop. Please pray for our Confirmation candi-dates who have faithfully been pre-paring to receive this sacrament.

NOTICIAS

¡Aleluya! ¡Cristo conquistó la muerte!
Fray Bobby
