As I reflect on the Philharmonic’s twenty-third season, I am thankful for everyone

that helped us achieve another artistically and financially successful year. The

Classics and Pops Series once again offered an enviable lineup of world-renowned

artists, including such names as pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet and the ever-

popular Pink Martini. Families enjoyed orchestral music and fun pre-concert

activities with the Discovery Series, our education programs continued to reach

new audiences, and the free Red, White & Boom! concert brought our community

together to celebrate Independence Day with an evening of music and fireworks.

Rocker Ben Folds performed alongside our orchestra to a sold-out house,

successfully introducing the orchestra to new and younger audiences. Over the

year, Maestro Joel Levine and our professional orchestra were never better,

showing us how important an orchestra is to a thriving community.

All of this was made possible because of you, our dedicated patrons and donors

that supported the Oklahoma City Philharmonic through ticket sales and generous

donations. I also commend my fellow board members for their diligence, and

am appreciative for the opportunity to have helped lead an institution like the

Philharmonic. To everyone that helped make all this possible, thank you for

another great year!
