ON-JOB-TRAINING PLAN (Rev. 02/2021)

The following On-The-Job (OJT) training plan has been specifically designed for the Car Wash industry Concierges.

Objective: Upon completion of this OJT program the Trainee will be able to accurately perform each identified task without error. The Trainee be able to identify, demonstrate, and explain the purpose of each task, and the sequence of the Car Wash Concierge duties & responsibilities and other car wash health & safety policy and procedures included in the OJT program.

Responsibility: Trainee is directly responsible to the Car Wash Manager who will ensure OJT is properly administered. The Training Administrator under the direction of the Director of Human Resources (DHR) will track the progress of each Trainee enrolled the OJT program. Qualified car wash concierges will assist with training as directed by the Car Wash Manager and will take the initiative to ensure Trainee is fully indoctrinated on the duties and responsibilities of a car wash concierge. The period to successfully complete this OJT Program normally takes six to eight weeks. Trainee will be placed on the operating schedule ensuring adequate personnel are available to administer OJT.

Training Format: Each task listed in this OJT program is derived from the Car Wash Concierge Job Description and applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). The Trainee will perform each task under the guidance of a qualified concierge or Car Wash Manager (Trainer).

To ensure this OJT program accomplishes the objective, no two identical tasks will be signed off as complete on the same day, since to do so undermines the objective and does not provide enforcement of the training. The Trainer will personally show the Trainee how the task is performed and will then observe the trainee preform the task, providing guidance as necessary. Once the Trainee has successfully performed the task, the Trainee and Trainer will initial, and the Trainer will record the date. On a different day the Trainer will ask the Trainee to perform the task again, under the Trainer’s observation, and providing guidance as necessary. Once the task is successfully performed the Trainee and Trainer will initial in the appropriate space and the Trainer will record the date. This process will be repeated on different days until the prescribed repetitions are completed.

Once trainee has completed all task listed, he/she will demonstrate overall proficiency to the Director of Operations who will sign in the appropriate space. The completed OJT form will be routed to training administrator who will verify completeness and signature of the Trainee and Car Wash Manager. The Training Administrator will sign the completed OJT Form and route to the DHR. The DHR will interview the Trainee ensuring the Trainee is confident and comfortable with the training received. If for any reason the Trainee or DHR feels that more training is required, the Training Administrator and Car Wash Manager will be notified, and additional training provided as necessary. Once the Trainee and DHR are satisfied the DHR will sign the completed OJT Form. The completed form will be filed in the employee’ s Training Record.
