1. Start of Construction Project for a new campus at Vallée Des Prêtres

The Board of Management of IISS has been contemplating, since the beginning of IISS in 1997,

the construction of its own modern school campus which will accommodate its secondary boys

and girls in separate blocks. In this respect, the IISS society acquired, in 2006, a plot of land to the extent of 4¼ acres for the construction of the new school.

Alhamdullilah, this year 2013, as from 1st of March, the construction project has begun.

We intend to complete the 1st phase of the project by December 2013, InshaAllah. Your duas,

moral and financial support are very important for the full realization of this project.

2. Benefits of this project to the students, parents and the community at large

Our students (Boys & Girls) as well as new students will benefit from this project in the following ways:

Integrated Academic and Islamic Education in a modern building on a total area of 4 ¼

acres (17,500 m2 ) with space for parking for visitors and separate parking for buses and vans.

Free Education: InshaAllah, education for secondary students will be free as the new

campus will qualify for PSSA grant. Therefore parents will save on school fees

Access to modern facilities such as spacious classrooms and specialist rooms and labs, etc.

Access to more recreational areas and space for sports. 14,000 m2

of yard and recreational

space as compared to our present recreational space of about 800 m2.

Tertiary Education: InshaAllah, with more infrastructure and classrooms, there will be scope

to introduce certain courses at tertiary levels for the benefit of interested students such as

Islamic Studies, Arabic, Pedagogy, Islamic finance and other courses as per the need of the

country.

Other facilities actually being offered by IISS like Hifz ul Quran, transport, integrated

Islamic & Academic education etc will be maintained and improved

Masjid and hall facilities for students and the public (to be available in 2nd phase of project).

Description and Cost of Project

1st phase of construction project (34,000 sq ft)

[a] Secondary Boys’ wing (Ground floor only) (9,000 sq ft)

(12 classrooms: 8 large + 4 medium, + other facilities)

[b] Secondary Girls’ wing (Ground floor only) (9,000 sq ft)

(12 classrooms: 8 large + 4 medium + other facilities)

[c] Administrative and specialist rooms Block (16,000 sq ft)

(Ground + 1st ): 6 labs/specialist rooms + administrative [e.g.: Chemistry, Biology, and Physics laboratories; audiovisual and

seminar rooms, main Computer laboratory and a main library

[d] Wall, Yard and Playgrounds Football, Volley Ball, Basket ball, Tennis ground facilities

Appeal For your Support

Given the magnitude of the amount to be raised for the project, fundraising activities will be carried out on all fronts, both locally and overseas (e.g., Reunion, South Africa, UK, Arab, Countries etc) In this respect, we are grateful to the Islamic Development Bank of Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) which will finance part of the construction (the Girls’ wing) at a cost of around Rs 6.6 million .

We are also grateful to all parents of our students, members of staff, students and all other

contributors who have contributed generously, whether in small or big amount, in the past

towards our various Fund Raising activites and zakaat fund.

In this context, the management of IISS is making a humble and urgent appeal, once again, to

all our parents, members of staff, students and good-hearted brothers and sisters to assist us in

this project for the benefit of our Muslim children through your financial donations, materials

for construction and through your duas and physical support. Insha-Allah, you will earn

perpetual rewards and benefits (Sawaab Jariyah) both in this world and in the Hereafter. as

promised by Allah Ta’ala in the holy Qur’an::

“ The example of those who spend their wealth in the path of Allah is that of a grain of

corn: it grows seven ears and each ear has a hundred grains. Allah gives manifold

increase to whom he pleases. and allah cares for all and he Knows all things.” (Quran: S.2, V261)

The Messenger Of Allah (saw) said:

“when a man dies, his deeds come to an end except three:

1. Sadaqah Jariyah - a recurring charity (e.g., construction of masjid, madrassah, Islamic schools etc.)

2. (Propagation of) Knowledge (by which people) benefit

3. a pious child who prays for him (the deceased)” [Re: Muslim]

The fundraising activity will be carried out at different levels as shown below and your

help and support will be invaluable. Please remember that we intend to complete the 1st

phase of the project by December 2013, InshaAllah, so that the students can be shifted to

the new campus by January 2014 and benefit from a free education.
