Oil of Obedience Packet Feb 2-Feb 8

1. Seek the AnointingThe first thing that the widow woman did was go to the man of God. This story was set in a time where God did not live on the inside of us, like He does now. In those days, God rested on theprophets that were chosen by God to inform the people of His commandments and instructions

for their lives. This woman was in trouble and she immediately sought after the anointing. Today,

Jesus has given us the power on the inside of us to have a more intimate relationship with him.This relationship doesnt require a prophet that tells us what God is saying. We can now directlygo to God to see what he desires for us to do. However, many things can taint our viewpoint ontrouble. So many of us get so distracted that when trouble comes our way, God is the 2nd or 3rd

option. We have made our girlfriends, friends, ect. as the main source of wisdom. Your friendsmay be anointed and have the wisdom of God. However, their wisdom doesnt come from them,its from God. Go to God first. He will give you insight and wisdom that will make the impossiblebecome reality in your life. Two weeks ago, our Royal Girl Packet was on the Holy Spirit. We said

that the Holy Spirit gives us wisdom and knowledge. He is our comforter and helps us in life.Depend on God & His Spirit.

2. What is in your house ?What can God use to be multiplied ? For the widow woman, it was the pot of oil that was in herhouse. It was the ONLY thing that she had. However, she still had something. If God is going tomultiply something, understand that it is going to come from within you or your household. Somany times we think that we dont have to sacrifice in order to be blessed. However, God can

only multiply what you offer him. We think I can give him 0 and it will grow. God is saying to us-GIVE ME SOMETHING TO USE !!! You may be thinking, but I dont have much. This widow

womans house was completely empty except for this one jar of oil. Ive always liked to think thatGod loves to work with what seems small. Never let your lack block you from your blessing.

You may have only $20 dollars in the bank. You may only have a high school degree. You mayonly only have 1 year of experience in that field. You may only have an idea and a book written

with ideas. You have something. Identify what that something is and understand that thesomething can save your household.

3. Have Faith & FollowThis may be the hardest thing for many of us. The title of this week is The Oil of Obedience for

this reason. The reason why the widow was blessed was because she followed the EXACTinstructions of the prophet. She also didnt doubt. She heard what he said and she moved. Ive

often thought, how could she not doubt ? Wouldnt she be worried ? Then, I thought: Sometimes, we will be in a place so low that our circumstance leaves no room for doubt. Have you ever been

so desperate for deliverance that when God said move, you just moved ? That woman was

desperate for a way out. Lets really take this in. She had NOTHING in her home except a pot ofoil. I think sometimes we doubt God, because were still too comfortable. However, I know manyof you have been in or are in a bad situation currently. You have to stay the course. I know its

easier said than done. However, it has to be done if you want God to bless your life.Lets look at the instructions that Elisha gave this widow woman:

1) Go borrow many vessels (even empty) from all neighbors2) Shut the door and pour oil into each jar, filling them up completely

3) Go sell oil, pay debt, and live off the rest

4. Help isnt a bad thing

The prophet told the widow woman to go borrow vessels to pour the oil into. Some of us wouldnt have even stepped a foot out of our door if we heard that. Borrow ? Im supposed to do

what ? So many of us are so prideful that we couldnt accept parts of our blessing coming

through the hands of other people. This woman wasnt concerned about her pride. She couldntafford to have pride. Elisha didnt tell her to give her neighbors a full story about why she was

borrowing the jars. He just told her to go borrow them. However, be confident in what God hassaid. Sometimes obtaining your blessing will involve you working with other people and havingthem help you obtain the promise. Dont let pride keep you from all that God has for you. You

may have to use someone elses resources in combination with what you have. Some of you maybe thinking, are we talking about literal pots & oil as application? Let me tell it to you from adifferent viewpoint. I began to think of my own gifts and things that God has given me that is

within my household. I thought of the vessels as other people and their homes. Over these pastmonths, I have been crying out to God to deliver certain family members from specific situations.

I began to see God shifting me. I began to pour what God had given me into other people. I

began praying for other peoples families. I began encouraging and lifting up people I didnt evenknow. I poured in my money, finances, and other things into the vessels of other people.

However, God didnt command her to just fill up the vessels midway. He told her-COMPLETELY.Fill them up all the way. Notice, how the prophet told her to go collect many pots. She probablyhad to go to many homes. She was knocking on many doors just for these vessels. God may besending you to different environments and locations just to collect vessels (people or things) so

you can pour your oil into them. This moves us on to the next point.

5. Give it ALL or DONT give at ALLGod is the God of wholeness. He came to heal broken hearts and to repair the lack in and around

us. Due to this, we know that God is all about filling whatever he does COMPLETELY. When Goddoes something, its always bigger than what we planned or saw coming. The prophet told her toborrow not a few. Basically, go get as many as you can find. The widow woman filled up those vessels to the brim. Thats how God desires us to be. He desires us to be filled to the brim with

his anointing and he wants us to pour into as many people the same way. This past weekspacket, I talked about how if we cant cover other people, dont expect for your own household tobe covered. If youre praying for your own healing, pray for someone else who is sick. If you are without a job, pray for another person who is unemployed. Get involved in your church and a

church ministry. Find an outreach program. However, dont do anything that God has not led youto do. The blessing only occurs within being obedient to Gods instruction. Are you giving your

all ? Are you pouring your oil into the vessels until they are full ?

6. Everybody isnt privy to the behind-the-scenes workOne of the most powerful things that stuck out to me was when Elisha told the widow woman to

close the door upon her and her sons while they filled the vessels. I had to re-read that part.Thats powerful right there. I believe that the reason why Elisha commanded her to do this wasto keep doubt from entering into her home. She believed that what Elisha told her was going tocome to pass. However, if neighbors saw her filling those vessels, they would probably tell her

things like: That oil is going to run out, You might as well give up, You wont sell enough oil

to save your sons. I was reminded of when Jesus went to heal the young girl, daughter of Jairus.This young girl was supposedly dead. However, Jesus said that she was just sleeping. The

doubters didnt have the faith to believe what Jesus saw. They began to laugh. Jesus immediatelysent them out before He raised this girl up. Doubt is a faith-killer. Stop letting everyone see your

behind-the-scenes work. People are quick to tell you their opinion that is based upon their

feelings and NOT faith. God only operates in a house of faith. If you are praying for God to doa mighty work in your house, you need to remove every attitude of disbelief and doubt.

7. This story is about a mother saving her familyWhat makes the story one of my favorites is that this is about a mother who is doing all that shecan to save her two sons. Talk about a mothers heart. This was not a story about a mother wasasking for a personal me blessing. It was about her family. A Royal Girl characteristic is having

love for your family and fighting for them. Her children were in the house with her as she pouredthe oil into the vessels. You may be fighting for your husband. You may be fighting for your sonor daughter that has gone astray and the enemy is trying to take them away from you. Begin tocover them in prayer. They may not see the tears you have shed for them. However, the angels

will create a hedge of protection around those that you begin to cover in prayer. Ask the HolySpirit to give you wisdom in how to lead them to Christ. God will give you insight on just howexactly to do it. Fight for your household. Fight for your husband. Fight for you children. Begin

walking around your house and start declaring what the Word of God says. You could be foldingthe laundry. As you begin to fold those clothes, speak to your Spirit-My Daughter will return

home. My Son will see the Glory of God revealed in his life. My Husband will be saved. It doesnthave to be just your husband or children. It could be a parent or another relative. Whomever it

may be, know that you have the power of God working on the inside of you that can bringchange to your household. I love how the abundance of her obedience was so plentiful that she was able to live off of her earnings for the rest of her life. Obedience to God will cause you to

walk in overflow.

bitter and jealous spirit inside of me. Help me walk in forgiveness for those that have done wrong to me and those that I have done wrong to. Wash my wrongdoings under the Blood that

you shed on calvary. I thank you for all that You have done and more importantly: I thank You for who you are. You are the King of Kings. You are the Lord of Lords. There is none like you. I exalt You & I give you ALL of my praise and ALL of my worship. I cry, Abba Father, you are WORTHYto be praised. I come before you on behalf of my family. I thank you for the hedge of protection

around them. I plead the blood over their lives. I thank you that we will work together as afamily. I declare that the Enemy has no authority in my household. Enemy, you are DEFEATED. Ispeak unity into the atmosphere. I speak PEACE into the atmosphere. I speak VICTORY for my

household. I speak LOVE into my household. I speak JOY into my household. I speak STRENGTHto my family members. Cover our finances, our bodies, our relationships with one another, andour mouths. Help us to be kind to one another. Let us speak LIFE to one another. God, help mecontrol my tongue and help me not to harm my family members through action or word. Help

me to be a good example in my household of You and Your power that lives on the inside of me.

CONFESSION/PRAYER FOR CHILDRENI pray over my children. God cover them with your angels. I speak INTELLIGENCE, WISDOM,GODLY CHARACTER, and LEADERSHIP into their spirits. Let them see You in all that they do.Protect them when they go to school, to their jobs, and into the different environments. I pleadthe blood over my children. Surround them with your love. Give them a heart to serve You. Let

them be leaders among the crowd. Let the light of God cover them so much that people aredrawn to your power. I declare scholarships, opportunities, internships, promotions, academic

achievements, and doors to open on their behalf.

CONFESSION FOR CHILDREN TO REPEAT (Have them Speak this Daily)Dear God, I thank you for helping me today. I am intelligent, strong, wise, and bold. I am a

leader among my peers. I love you God and I will honor you in all that I do. I will not give in tobad choices. I will honor my parents and not disrespect those in authority. Help me in all that Ido. I declare that I will have top grades. Help me with my homework and my tests. Help me in

all of my classes and in all activities. I will have a great day today.

CONFESSION/PRAYER FOR HUSBANDCover my husband. Give him strength and wisdom as the King of this household. As Queen, I amhis number one supporter. Give me wisdom in how to love him deeper. Give me wisdom in how

to treat him better. I plead the blood over his mind, his body, and his spirit. Let your Spiritovershadow and overtake him. Let him feel you breathing STRENGTH into his Spirit when he

feels weak. Let him feel you breathing in LOVE when he feels distant from You. My husband is aMIGHTY man of VALOR. He is a KING. Give him wisdom in how to lead our house. Give him

UNDERSTANDING when he can not understand. Give him PEACE when there is chaos allaround. I declare that you are giving him dreams, visions, and goals that will help our family beall that it can be. Give him financial wisdom when it comes to the stability of our household. My

husband belongs to You, Heavenly Father. As his wife, I cover him with love & commitment.
