Illumine Experience Enjoying your Illumine • Whenusingawickforthefirsttime,allow10minutesbeforelightingtoensureevenoilabsorption. • LighttheIllumineTabletopSculpturebysimplytouchingamatchorlightertooneendofthewick.Inlessthan

aminutestime,theflamewillslowlycrawlacrossthelengthofthewickuntilitisfullyilluminated. • Whenoilreservoirisfull,yourIlluminewillrunfromapproximately3.5hours.Youwilluseapproximately8oz

(210ml)uponyourfirstuse. • NOTE:Duetotheever-changingbeautyofnaturalflame,theflameheightwillchangeovertimewhileburning

andwitheachconsecutiveuse.Firsttimeuseofanewwickmayresultinahigherflamethatsettlesintoasteady,beautifulflameinabout30minutes.

Extinguishing the flame • IllumineTabletopFlameSculpturescantoextinguishedinoneoftwoways: -Snuffer Method (preferred):Carefullyplacethesnufferoverthelengthofthewick,makingcertainthatthe

grateholesarecompletelycovered(Fig5).Leavethesnufferinplaceandallowtocool.Itisnormalandexpectedforsomesmoketoescapefromunderthesnuffer.Keepsnufferinplaceontopofthegrateuntilnextuse(Fig6).

-Self-Extinguish Method:WhenyourIllumineTabletopFlameSculpturerunsoutofoilitwillextinguishonit’sown.Be CERTAINtheflameiscompletelyextinguishedbeforeleavingyourIllumineunattended.Placesnufferontopofgrateuntilnextuse.

NOTE: DO NOTblowoutyourFlameSculptureorusewatertoextinguish.

Illumine Assembly

• PlaceyourIllumineTabletopFlameSculpturewhereyouintendtouseit.Makecertainthesurfaceisstable,flatandfreeofdebris.

• Removethegrateandsetaside.(Fig1)• UncaptheIllumineOilandcarefullyfilltheoilreservoirtothefillline.Filllineismarkedhalfwayupthereservoirwall.(Fig2)-DO NOT OVERFILL.

NOTE:Oilreservoirisdesignedtofilltofilllineonly.Fillingabovelinewillcausespillover.•Replacethegrateonthetopoftheoilreservoir.• Gentlyplacethewickinthecenterslotofthegrate.(Fig3)• WipeawayanyIllumineOilthatmayhavespilledoutsidethereservoirbeforecontinuingwithassembly• Carefullyinserttheglasssidepanelsintotheslots.(Fig4)• Placerocksdecorativelyasdesired(ifincluded).

About the patent-pending Illumine wick YourIllumineWickisdouble-sidedandhasbeencarefullyconstructedtoprovidesuperiorsafetyandlonglife.Duetotheprop-

ertiesoftheall-natural,botanicaloil,itisexpectedthataslightresidueoforganicmaterialwillbuildupontheedgeofthewick.Pleasefollowtheinstructionsbelowcarefullytorealizeupto60 hoursofoptimalwickperformance.

Cleaning the wick Tomaximizethelifeofyourwick,werecommendcleaningthewickaftereachuse.Cleanwickusingthecleaningtool,whilethe

unitisfullyassembled.ItisnotnecessarytoremoveanIlluminewickwhencleaning. • Steps: - Oncethewickiscompletelycooled,removetheglassormetalsidesfromyourIllumineandgentlyplacetotheside.(Fig4) - Grippingthecleaningtooltightlybetweenyourthumbandforefinger,presstheplasticedgeofthetoolagainsttheexposed

metaledgeofthewick,sothespikedcleaningbladesareindirectcontactwiththefiberglasswickmaterial.(Fig7) - Withfirmpressure,glidethecleaningtool’srolleredgeoverthecompletelengthofthewickandback(1-2times).Repeat

processontheoppositesideofthewick. - Replacetheglassormetalsides.(Fig8) - Usingasoftclothorpapertowel,gentlywipeanyremainingdebrisfromthewick.Usebrushtipofcleaningtooltogently

brushawayanyremainingdebris.(Fig9)

Flipping the wick • Afterapproximately30hoursofuseononeside,thewickwillneedtobeflippedtothefresh,unusedsideforuptoanother

30hoursofuse.Youwillknowitistimetoflipthewickwhentheexposedsideisnolongersustainsaflameorisunabletobelit.

• MakecertainyourIllumineisCOMPLETELY COOLbeforeattemptingtoflipthewick. • Removethegrate. • Checktoseethattheoilreservoirisempty.Ifnot,carefullypouranyremainingIllumineOilbackintoaglassormetal

containerandsaveforfutureuse.Immediatelywipeupanyoilthatmayhavespilled. • Carefullyremovethewick,pullingupslowlyuntilthewickisfreefromthewickholdersatthebaseofthereservoir. • RefillthereservoirwithIllumineOil,uptothefillline. • Replacethegrate. • Gentlyflipthewickoverandinsertbackintothereservoir. • Allow10minutesforproperoilabsorptionbeforelighting.

Troubleshooting Wick will not relight / Flame too low

Wick has dead spots: • Oilreservoirisempty:MakecertainyourIllumineiscompletelycool.Liftthe

grateandverifythattheunitisoutofoil(thereservoirmaynotbecompletelyempty-theremaybeatinyamountofoilleftbehindthatdidnotwickup,thisisnormalandexpected).Iftheoilreservoirisempty,refillwithIllumineOiluptothefillline.Wait10minutesandrelight.

• Wickneedscleaning:Usecleaningtooltocleanwickaccordingtodirectionsonpage4.

• Wickneedstobeflipped:Afterapproximately30hoursofuseononeside,thefiberglassportionofthewickwillnolongerlight.Pleasefollowthe“Flip-pingtheWick”directionsfoundonpage4.

• Unitisrunningoutofoil:Extinguish,waittocoolandrefill. • Wickneedstobereplaced:OncetheIlluminewickhasreachedtheendof

itslife-span(approximately60burnhourstotal),youwillneedtopurchaseareplacementwickatyournearestIllumineretailerorvisitwww.illuminefire.com

Flame higher than sides / Lots of black smoke: • YourIlluminehasbeendesignedtodisplayalow,consistentflameinanav-

eragehouseholdatmosphere.Iftheflameeverappearsblowingandsmokyformorethan5minutes,thecauseismostlikelyrapidairflowaroundyourIllumine.YourIllumineshouldneverbelitunder(ornextto)aceilingfan,floorfan,heatingvent,openwindoworanyotherblowingair.Likeacandle,thepresenceofaconstantblowingwindisnotrecommendedforoptimalperformance.IftheairaroundyourIllumineisdisturbedbriefly,theflamemayappearerraticforaminuteorsoandthensettle.

Smoke visible when extinguishing with snuffer: • Visiblesmokeunderthesnufferisnormalandexpected. Flame visible under grate: • IftheflameisvisibleUNDERthegrate(intheoilreservoir)atanytime,

• Cuandoeldepósitodeaceiteestélleno,suIlluminefuncionaráduranteaproximadamente3.5horas.Usaráaproximadamente8oz(210ml)ensuprimeruso.

Diagnóstico y resolución de problemas

La mecha no se enciende/la llama es demasiado débil

la mecha tiene puntos muertos: • Eldepósitodeaceiteestávacío:AsegúresedequesuIllumineestécompleta-

mentefrío.Levantelarejillayverifiquequealaunidadnolefalteaceite(espo-siblequeeldepósitonoestécompletamentevacío,puedehaberunapequeñacantidaddeaceitequelamechanoabsorbió,estoesnormal).Sieldepósitodeaceiteestávacío,relléneloconaceiteIlluminehastalalíneadellenado.Espere10minutosyvuelvaaencender.

• Debelimpiarlamecha:Useunutensiliodelimpiezaparalimpiarlamechadeacuerdoconlasindicacionesdelapágina4.

• Debedarvueltalamecha:Luegodeaproximadamente30horasdeusodeunlado,lapartedefibradevidriodelamechayanoseprenderá.Sigalasinstruc-cionessobre«Cómodarvueltalamecha»queseencuentranenlapágina4.

• Launidadseestáquedandosinaceite:apague,espereaqueseenfríeyrel-lene.

• Debecambiarlamecha:UnavezquelamechadelIlluminehayallegadoalfinaldesuvidaútil(aproximadamente60horasdeencendidoentotal),deberácomprarunamechaderepuestoensudistribuidordeIllumineovisitewww.illuminefire.com

La llama es más alta que los laterales/larga mucho humo negro:

• SuIlluminehasidodiseñadoparamostrarunallamaconstanteybajaenunaatmósferanormaldehogar.Silallamasemuevemuchoylargahumodurantemásde5minutos,lacausaesprobablementeunflujodeairerápidoalrededordesuIllumine.NuncaenciendasuIlluminedebajo(niallado)deunventila-dordetecho,ventiladordepie,rejilladecalefacción,ventanaabiertaniotroelementoquesopleaire.Comoenelcasodeunavela,noserecomiendalapresenciadevientoconstanteparaundesempeñoóptimo.Sisemuevebreve-menteelairealrededordesuIllumine,lallamapuedeparecererráticaduranteunminutoaproximadamenteyluegosecalmará.

Se ve humo cuando se extingue con el apagavelas: • Elhumovisiblebajoelapagavelasesnormalydeesperar. Se ve la llama bajo la rejilla: • SisevelallamaDEBAJOdelarejilla(eneldepósitodeaceite)encualquier

Para limpiar la mecha: Paramaximizarlavidaútildesumecha,lerecomendamoslimpiarlamechadespuésdecadauso.Limpielamechausandoel

utensiliodelimpieza,mientraslaunidadestátotalmentearmada.NoesnecesarioquitarlamechadeIlluminecuandolimpia.• Pasos:

- Agarrandoelutensiliodelimpiezafuertementeentresupulgarysudedoíndice,presioneelbordedeplásticodelutensiliocontraelbordedemetalexpuestodelamecha,deformaquelashojasdelimpiezaconpúasesténencontactodirectoconelmaterialdefibradevidriodelamecha.(Fig.7)

otras30horasdeuso.Sabráqueeshoradedarvueltalamechacuandoelladoexpuestoyanosostengalallamaonopuedaencenderse.

• AsegúresedequesuIllumineestéCOMPLETAMENTE FRÍOantesdeintentardarvueltalamecha. • Quitelarejilla. • Verifiquequeeldepósitodeaceiteestévacío.Sinoloestá,viertaconcuidadoelaceiteIlluminerestanteenunrecipiente

devidrioometalyguardeparausarenelfuturo.Limpieinmediatamenteelaceitequesehayaderramado. • Quiteconcuidadolamecha,tirandosuavementehastaquelamismaestélibredelossoportesdelamechaqueseen-

cuentranenlabasedeldepósito. • VuelvaallenareldepósitoconaceiteIllumine,hastalalíneadellenado. • Vuelvaacolocarlarejilla,asegurándosedequelamechaestéexpuestaaproximadamente1/2pulg.(1.8cm)porencima

delarejilla. • Dévueltasuavementelamechayvuelvaaintroducirlaeneldepósito. • Dejepasar10minutosparapermitirunaabsorciónadecuadadelaceiteantesdeencender.
