Oil City Sound Machine An energetic, 6 piece top 40 dance band
from Edmonton, Alberta Canada. The repertoire includes high energy
party material, dance and disco "classics" such as Cheryl Lynn,
Donna Summer, Michael Jackson and many of current TOP 40 hits from
Rhianna, Kelly Clarkson, Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, Katy Perry and many
others.
Carol-Lynne Quinn Vocals Carol-Lynne grew up in Edmonton singing
in a variety of bands, choirs, and theatre projects. An appearance
in the Canadian Idol competition at the age of only seventeen won
the right to the qualifier in Toronto. Graduated in at Grant Mac
Ewan College in the music performance program and holding a
position as Voice Arts Outreach and Prep Teacher.
Melody Lovejoy Vocals Melody began playing the piano and singing
at 10. Her love for music has taken her to Trinidad, New Zealand,
Germany and throughout the USA. She graduated from Grant Mac Ewan
with a diploma in vocal Performance
Robert Fernandez Keyboards Robert began studying piano at the
age of eight in Germany. From his first church band and later
projects (Queen Sensitive, later Count Up) with fellow band members
who shared an interest in jazz-funk, fusion and R&B, he brings
a few years experience.
Drew Hazlett Guitar Drew began playing guitar in high school and
graduated from Grant Mac Ewan with a diploma in Music Performance.
He continues to wow crowds every time he plays.
James Marusiak Bass James has played bass in most styles of
music, but finds his true love in Funk, R&B and Blues. He
graduated from Grant Mac Ewan with his diploma in Music
Performance.
Jordan Dempster Drums A graduate of the Malaspina College Jazz
program, Jordan was assistant Musical Director for Carnival Cruise
Lines Show-band. He played with Juno nominee Sean Hogan, backing up
Chicago artists Sam Cockerell and Wes Mackie, and performed in
opening acts for George Jones, and Trooper.
