It was gone when the farm was purchased. The original farmhouse was built in 1860 on the east side of Carpenter Rd. It is now owned by one of the granddaughters. The existing home was built in 1974 on the west side of Carpenter Rd. Pohlmann Farms takes the most pride in making an effort to keep both buildings and equipment well maintained, neat, and attractive. It’s not always the newest but it’s functional and progressive. They also take pride in making it feel like “home” and that’s something the family is proud of coming back home to. The farm has had a great impact on the Pohlmann family’s children and grandchildren’s lives. The lives of siblings and their families who always headed “home” to the farm as well is a lasting memory.
