Hand-Held Radar

Stalker II MDR Moving/Stationary Directional Radar Stalker II MDR is a Ka-band Direction Sensing radar that can be used in hand-held or dash-mounted mode. The light-weight, rugged metal housing is waterproof. The Stalker II MDR is currently used in patrol cars, on motorcycles, snowmobiles, bicycles and in watercraft patrol. Moving Mode The Stalker II MDR can be mounted on the dash of most vehicles using the Universal Dashmount Bracket. A motorcycle mount is available. A wireless Remote Control is provided for easy operation. A CAN/VSS cable, plugged into the vehicle’s OBD-II port, provides power and also senses vehicle speed. With the CAN/VSS cable installed the radar will automatically switch between moving and stationary modes. Using Direction Selection, officers can choose vehicle targets in Opposite or Same-Direction of travel. Using Faster mode, the radar will display both the Strongest target and the Faster target speeds. Stationary Mode In Stationary mode an officer can use Direction Sensing to track vehicle targets in Opposite, Same or Both (approaching and same) directions of travel. Directional Arrows confirm the identified target’s direction of travel. The Stalker II SDR also features Faster mode which allows an officer to track Stronger signal targets and Faster signal targets simultaneously.

This unit is equipped with a Rear Port Connection on the radar and a waterproof Ka-band antenna, antenna cable and antenna mounting bracket. This unit can be used in patrol cars or on motorcycles. Moving Mode The Stalker II MDR can be mounted on the dash of most vehicles using the Universal Dashmount Bracket. A motorcycle mount is available. Stalker SAM (Speed Awareness Monitor) Speed Trailer The Stalker SAM trailer is a Community-Friendly tool to assist law enforcement in their efforts to raise public awareness that speeding vehicles are unsafe and present a hazard to the community’s welfare. Highly visible amber LED’s are visible up to 1,000 ft.; The Approach-Only Stalker Speed Sensor radar is factory-calibrated and accurate helping to

eliminate false target readings. The Speed Sensor has an average range up to 1/2 mile;

The SAM trailer will operate for months without a battery recharge when using the Solar Panel The optional 55 Watt Solar Panel assists the 4D Deep-Cycle battery to power the display. The Solar Panel provides 1 day of operational use for every 2.5 hours of exposure to sunlight. Without the Solar Panel, a fully-charged battery will power the Display for 18 days @ 78º F. The SAM trailer is built and certified to NHTSA standards and ready to license if required.
