Due to the unique nature of this training and low participant to faculty ratio, space is limited to a maximum of sixteen practitioners / staff per session. Description This is the opportunity for Practitioners and their staff to experience the realism of office medical emergency scenarios on human simulators with support from experienced faculty. Practitioners are encouraged to include office staff. This unique and challenging workshop provides clinical simulation experiences that address the proper recognition, assessment, and management of office medical emergencies with an emphasis on complications associated with moderate sedation, deep sedation, and general anesthesia. Participants will demonstrate appropriate team management of patient emergency scenarios on high fidelity patient simulators. (Laerdal SimMan). Skills necessary to provide emergency care will be reviewed on task trainers, including the Laerdal Resusci Anne, Laerdal Airway Trainer, and Ingmar Respi Trainer. **Registration includes American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification and AHA BLS certification for participants per their pre-registration selection. Participants must complete the AHA Heartcode on line training plus the hands on training and Mega Code testing at the Simulation Center to receive the AHA certification.
